This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

As with so much, the narrative box-heavy double whammy of The Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen. It was a slow fade-out from there, until they became practically extinct by the early 00s. You can still find them in the wild, though. @mooncalfe1.bsky.social’s Supergirl, for example. #ngl

People cite this episode to me as one of their least favorite BTAS episodes and man, if you don't like The Forgotten, maybe Batman isn't for you

Daniel Dockery@dandock.bsky.social

By stripping him of his memory and forcing him to work in a prison camp, "The Forgotten" attempts to explore Bruce Wayne's empathy for the downtrodden. It's not completely successful, but it is a reminder that this version of Bruce at least wants to be a little more than an ivory tower vigilante.

Even if I were to define, and then rank, what constitutes DC’s “major heroes,” whatever answer I gave to this would convey a false impression that I think that characters is bad, when I do not. The wisest course for me is not to answer this. Take that negativity to Reddit. #ngl

I try to be a comic lover in public and a comic hater in private. Sometimes I'll just think about how bad I hate a particular comic and just DM some friends about it to commiserate. It's fine to hate but don't let it breach containment.

If the Clayface movie does really well in theaters, it will prove James Gunn’s hypothesis that the right script is more important than the right character. The next standalone movie should be for whoever has the best script. #ngl

I think I confidently say that without all the hype, NextJS is actually a poor framework for delivering absolutely anything. Not because it's bad but because it blurs the server client boundary among an already lackluster pool of developers

Five-year-old me: Oooh, that Batman cartoon! What adventures will he go on today? *the villain is left in tears, unable to process their fears and obsessions. And Batman, a looming presence born of the inability to rationalize terror, is the only one there to comfort them* Me: Oh. Huh.

I will say that neither Hodson nor Muschietti is really to blame for The Flash, and my only problem with Birds of Prey is petty and personal and also not Hodson’s fault
