After the draft print finished I learned: 1. I didn't leave enough room for the switcher knob. 2. that I needed to rotate the volume knob 180 degrees

i completely forgot to leave the bottom open so i could do wiring lol. i stopped my 3d print and quickly made that adjustment

see I've tried using AI for coding I'd like to think I'm special and immune to AI addiction, but the reality is probably just that I'm incapable of feeling any kind of attachment or pride in AI generated code I feel like it pollutes the project and displaces my own motivation, I just don't want it

seeing extremely anti-AI musicians carve out exceptions when it benefits them (vibe-coded plug-ins) is exactly what makes AI so devious. "i can make this VST plug-in just like you" is exactly the same as "i can make this song just like you" when it comes from a programmer.

do not hold your chosen art form to a higher standard than others. respect that the process and the struggle to create something _is_ the art, but we can only consume the product. when the product (art, music, software, etc) is devoid of struggle/process, the result is devoid of art.

TIL you can format the bash 'time' built-in with TIMEFORMAT. For example: TIMEFORMAT="%R" give you just the wall time.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a test signal generator command line tool? Something I can script to create sounds of a particular spec? e.g sine for 2 seconds at -20dB followed by sine for 2 seconds at 0dB.
