Besides being nakedly racist and bigoted, this is just hilariously wrong on all levels. I mean, Omar Yaghi won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry last year, and he won the Wolf Prize in 2018. And that's just one example.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

A helpfully clear exchange here Hasan: "So your argument is that [Minnesota ICE protesters] should stay at home because immigration is a salient issue for Donald Trump. Opposing ICE is only going to help Trump. Wait until we win the election in 2028." Yglesias: "Yes that is what I would have said"

Tbf, the Browns ownership has already made its position on sexual abuse allegations clear

The Browns, Bengals, Guardians, Reds, Blue Jackets, Cavaliers, Crew, and FC Cincinnati. The owners of every single pro sports team in Ohio have all donated to Vivek Ramaswamy. And not a single one has spoken up about his recent ad. www.foiaball.com/p/ohio-sport...

Holy shit

First look at Dwayne Johnson as the Chicken Man in Benny Safdie's ‘LIZARD MUSIC’. The film follows a young boy who finds a secret late-night broadcast of lizards playing otherworldly music that opens a hidden door to the whimsical Chicken Man.

He is remarkably consistent in supporting alleged perpetrators and enablers of sexual violence and attacking their victims

Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

DeWine is such a maddening case. He has a moral compass. He's willing to speak out. He's just not willing to do anything more. As on Springfield, so on Ramaswamy.

DOJ SEEKS TO ROLL L. FOR ROLLING L'S

It's too early to say what impact Vivek Ramaswamy's appalling ad will have on the campaign, but his obnoxious personality is the biggest reason why Ohio's governorship, which hasn't gone to a Democrat since 2006, is even in play www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...

theatlantic.comVivek Ramaswamy’s Appalling Campaign AdThe Republican candidate for governor of Ohio has drawn condemnation from the right and the left for casually dismissing his opponent’s account of being raped as a child.

Of all the annoying/scammy/curiosity-gap fundraising tropes out there, the one that baffles me the most is "My decision." I couldn't care less what your decision is!

Miller can't decide immigrants are either a drain on public coffers or they're coming to this country and doing TOO well

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Stephen Miller claims Somali-Americans in Minnesota are "buying Mercedes, buying BMWs, they buy a nice house, all their kids fly first class all over the world" (This is a lie!)

Reading between the lines, it seems to me like she showed up and immediately started vocally critiquing people's way of life. I can imagine that didn't play well

One factor I'll be watching is how many Democrats shift from vote by mail to in person (especially early) voting, given Trump's relentless attacks on mail voting and his attempts to shut it down.

Michael McDonald@electproject.bsky.social

Still probably some lagging final Florida in-person early vote reports for the 33 counties that offered in-person early vote today, but I can clearly see compared to 2022 that in-person early voting is way up on this first day and registered Democrats are leading the way, more than doubling turnout

Cleveland.com made a big deal about using AI to write stories so it could free up reporters to do more reporting. This ain’t it.

Weird debater locutions. “The evidence would show, in my opinion.” Well, does it? Show us! This isn’t just a rhetorical game

Headquarters@headquartersnews.bsky.social

Q: Were Medicare and Medicaid mistakes? Vivek Ramaswamy: I believe they were. I think the evidence would show that it has harmed the very people that it was created to actually help

Frankly a weird line of argument for a guy who became famous for a book critiquing ruling elites. Where was the gratitude then!

JD Vance calls El-Sayed "a little weasel who should shut his mouth and show a little gratitude"
