The main reason to do this update is still to prepare Lunistice for 2.0 (Accel Coda). I basically merged all of the old content to the newer Accel Coda codebase. All to preserve the original as much as I can. It was... quite the process and at this point almost none of the old code is left 💦

That *does* mean that there might be a bunch of minor differences all over the game with 1.1 but I tried to keep it as close to 1.0 as possible! And then the plan is still to allow you to switch between 1.1 and 2.0 freely when Accel Coda is finally out.

It always comes back to this for me; if AI was so good, such a disclosure would be a selling point. If AI was everything these slop jockeys said it was, they should be proud to let people know their game was AI made. But the proof is in the pudding, and they can't stand that people don't want it.

I can't believe he's still at it, it's been days

I let myself get roped into experimenting with AI coding agents, because I got told to "at least try it and then you can judge it". I figured it would help me understand what all the fuss is about as well. And what can I say... I've converted! ...from an AI hater to an AI super-hater. 🧵

Anyway I honestly did not know what I expected. I guess it's nice to know that my opinion of "genAI is horseshit" has been justified? But man, with how widespread adoption is for coding agents, the future looks fucking *bleak* Fuck this shit.

And all the way through watching the "future of computing" bungle through your codebase you have to babysit it like a toddler on speed, even if you're following "best practices" for its requirements and instructions. All that to produce code that's *barely* on the level of a first-year CS student.

I'm sorry to say, but if you sincerely think that genAI makes you a "better coder" or "more productive", maybe you're just a shit programmer to begin with. I might not be able to produce 1000 LoC/s, but my code fucking does what it's supposed to and is properly tailored to the project at hand.

I did not pay any money for this, because fuck it. If I'm gonna boil something, it's my own GPU. So I got recommended one of the beefy Chinese models, which supposedly is gonna be "ThE fUtUrE" and "almost AGI". Nearly cooked my very chunky GPU 🫠 And don't get me started on the fucking setup process

And then came the actual coding part. Suffice it to say, it's been absolutely miserable. If I have to say ONE positive-ish(?) thing about these things it's that they sure produce a lot of lines of code, very fast. But man, the quality, even for simple tasks is truly abysmal.

Anyway, I'm hard it work finalizing the 1.1 build (the in-between patch between 1.0 and Accel Coda) for QA and translation. So have an update! moon level is rainbow road now

I'd love to compare email inboxes with @aggrocrabgames.bsky.social at some point, because the amount of generated pitches we're getting these days in genuinely heartbreaking. And yes, I agree 100%. I'd rather see your pitch explained with MS Paint sketches than using genAI to "polish" it.

I was involved in running an actual significant press event for the very first time, where we punched well above our weight as indie publishers! It was incredibly cool and I met so, so many friends and new people! I'm also completely destroyed right now (I was on my feet for... 14-ish hours 🫠)

I was at the Drova 2 Release party in Magdeburg today. What a great day with some truly wonderful people! I highly recommend watching the announcement trailer! It's simply impressive. #drova2 @just2d.bsky.social

I've been following this game for quite a while now, super excited to see it officially announced now! :D Congrats to everyone involved!

How about I do none of these and instead start prototyping my take on a movement-based FPS like Neon White :']

Games I wanna make: - Metroidvania with Kingdom Hearts combat - Open-world expressive platformer - Multiplayer A-RPG like Phantasy Star Online - Spellcasting soulslike - A-RPG/Farming/Alchemy sim - A game that's literally just Xanadu Next - Monster-catching RPG with a fucked up story

If you're a gamedev and looking for a 3D character artist, you should absolutely hire this man, btw! Kenyon's one of the most hard-working and talented people I know 🙂‍↕️

If you like platformers and you haven't played this you're doing a disservice to yourself; One of a few platformers I've played where you can really get into a flow state. Also learning the speedrun is fun :) Buy it at 2 USD! Buy it at 5! Buy 20 copies for your friends!

Just stayed up past my bedtime playing the demo of this, have now gone and bought it. I mean it's £2, that's no big show off. But: It feels like Saturn, lads. Like if Sonic World was a game. The platforming feels good. It sounds right, looks right (and you can make it look even more right)

This game is normally FIVE bucks and is going to see a major content update in the future and was already more than worth the $5, PLEASE pick this up, it's such a sick game. I love Lunistice so much.

Yo! This is probably a one-time (or at least VERY RARE) thing! For Anthro Festival 2026, I put a big ol' 60% discount on Lunistice! Now's the best time to get it! For yourself, for your friends, for your neighbors, for random people you just met like 5 minutes ago!

This is such a brazen lie that you almost have to admire the balls they've got.
