In the age of AI, how can a platform know whether an account belongs to a real human, not a bot or AI agent? Should every platform have to verify this itself, collecting personal data? At #Trefdag26, @robin.berjon.com and I demonstrated a different model that separates the responsibilities:

You control your identity. @athumi.eu, a DGA-registered data intermediary, verifies you using government eID systems and issues a “Verified Human” label without publishing underlying identity data. The social app reads and displays your label. digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/...

Verification is optional. You can remove your label, stay pseudonymous and reuse it on any compatible AT Protocol app. The demo was built in 1 week by @becrsh.eurosky.social's team @ Athumi. @sherif.mu.social from @eurosky.social integrated label requests & display in a @mu.social demo environment.
