#DIDit #NASitYourself #Linux #LinuxMint

If you're a programmer switching to Linux is pretty straight forward, and after the learning curve the day-to-day of programming from Linux is way nicer than Windows.

The three decades after WWII ushered in levels of widely shared prosperity the US had never seen. Things weren't perfect, but we seemed to understand the importance of unions and that the real "job creators" are Americans workers whose rising wages generated economic growth.

4. So why the massive emphasis on food waste? Because it avoids confrontation with powerful economic interests. Everyone can agree that people should waste less. Intentionally or otherwise, it involves individuating blame for a systemic problem: a classic neoliberal gambit.

Practically we must be accepting of right wingers who turn against MAGA. But don't forget it. When Trump is gone, we must teach future generations that it was bigotry that fueled his rise and that includes anyone who has ever aligned with him.

Mutual aid is not barter/equal exchange, and mutual aid is not charity, as a whole lot more seem to believe. Mutual aid is not a single act like donating to a fundraiser, it is a web of relationship that people enact with each other in an ongoing basis.

Windows 10 hits "end of life" on October 14th. After that, you'll have to pay M$ an additional US$30 for an extra year of support and then that's it. If your hardware isn't Win11 compatible but you want to keep using it, GNU/Linux is the way to go. You can use it until it melts down.

If there's one thing that all my weird little Linux gaming edge cases have taught me, it's this: Linux gaming is absolutely ready for prime time. Even more so if you have a non-Nvidia GPU and a non-Microsoft controller. The shit just works. It's not perfectly seamless every time but it WORKS FINE.
