It's polling day in Portobello Craigmillar! We're out and about knocking doors and making sure the SNP word out - polls are open until 10pm, so be sure to go vote if you live in the ward!

Last two nights of the campaign - tomorrow is polling day! Lots of SNP voters ready to go vote for positive change for Edinburgh in Portobello Craigmillar ward!

From 2027-28, the Scottish Child Payment will rise to £40 a week for eligible children under one. Around 12,000 children a year are expected to benefit.

We're providing more help for parents beyond the school day. By August 2029, new after-school and holiday childcare support will be available for primary school children.

A busy weekend of campaigning this weekend, and our final one be before the by-election on Thursday. There was lots of sun, there was lots of rain, but we were out in both, speaking to voters to make sure that the SNP win that by-election!

Musselburgh will be getting a new GP walk-in centre. Absolutely brilliant news. This will be a game changer for healthcare access right across the town, allowing people to see a GP or nurse without the need for an appointment. And it will be open on weekends too!

👩‍🏫 A joy to visit Portobello High School recently to celebrate its 150th anniversary. It was great to hear from both teachers and pupils past and present, and fascinating to see just how rich the history of Porty High is. Here’s to another 150 years of Porty’s young people doing our city proud!

Just over a week left until polling day in the Portobello Craigmillar by-election but plenty of campaigning still to be done! Lots of support for the SNP tonight and great conversations about local issues.

A sunny evening and a warm reception for the SNP on the doorsteps this evening. Plenty of enthusiasm for more SNP representation on Edinburgh City Council!

Despite being one of the most energy-rich countries in the world, we pay some of the highest energy bills in Europe. The energy price cap is set to rise again on Wednesday. This must be a wake up call for the Prime Minister. We need urgent action to lower people’s bills.

It's clear it must come back - the integrity of the process has been shown to be completely compromised. Key Q now is will Labour reverse its dreadful position of voting with Tories & Lib Dems to rip out measures protecting kids travelling safely to & from school? If they don't this means nowt.

This demonstrates that the vote to rip out the modal filters and other active travel measures in the Braid estate was not only unjustifiable, but also arrived at by a tainted process which must now surely be revisited.
