One of the bets of his era.

pre-owen final, he can’t meet the crowds’ eyes for more than a second or two at a time before he has to look down. the chants visibly affect him. also, hangman paces frequently during his promos; here, he notably stays in one spot, only starting to really move again at the very end.

🚨 A ‘GLEE’ revival has been officially ordered at Disney+ and Hulu. No cast members are currently announced to return.

Net loss of about 40 subs so far for publisjing this. Which is fine. I knew what I was in for. But when people say videos like this "just get made for the money" please be aware there are material costs for putting this stuff out there, alongside the mental costs which came from enraging stans.

WrestleDream was fantastic. Another all-killer no-filler AEW ppv. Brilliant emotional performance from Mox with Davis as the perfect brick wall to stand against him. Action in the trios match was amazing with great character work for all 6 men. Real excited for what's next there.

As for Clockwork Carnage? Awesome. Some odd booking (babyfaces Will and Speedball double-teaming fellow babyface Takeshita) but the pace was rapid and the gimmick really got over. Had me believing a title change was possible and set up a number of exciting feuds.

Thekla vs Mercedes felt a proper big time stars match. A split crowd so impressed by the work they cheered whomever won out of respect. Tag title match ruled, comedy with Ciampa and Andrade was pushing it but still made me laugh. Hell even Jericho vs Nick Wayne was great.

Caught up with the new Resident Evil movie and it's mostly a good time. Ending is a bummer and the dialogue could stand to be 15% less cheeky but it's very amusing to watch Austin Abrams bumble his way through a series of escalating horror set-pieces.

So have Forbes, FT, fast company, Bloomberg, or the Wall Street journal started asking the pertinent question yet? (The pertinent question is, "if this is what character[.]ai's books looked like, what the fuck is going on inside anthropic and openAI?")

My dad tells me that my grandpa would always talk about how stupid and awful The Simpsons looked. Then my dad goes away in the navy. When he came home on leave my grandpa was apparently obsessed with the show and watched it constantly.

This is what I hate about the broader wrestling community. The discourse can be extremely anti-art. All that matters is money or ratings or some other metric, not how a thing made you feel. Mount Rushmore lists are full of wrestlers that people feel "have to be there" not because of real love.

Andrew@andrewskeets.bsky.social

The most surface-level milquetoast pull for one of these lists I've ever seen. It sucks even if it's kayfabe ("money is the only metric that matters to him"--fuck off).

I was there.

Still, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't kind of grateful for this movie. Look, Warner Bros just got absorbed by Paramount. We're not getting anything this bold or transgressive on a massive scale again anytime soon. I was also fascinated to see where the movie was going and the ending is great.

Conceptually I like what the film is doing. Lots to like in execution too. Cruise is good - certainly the most interesting he's been in almost 2 decades - the sets and sound design are fantastic, certain scenes really come together beautifully. But god is it straining for laughs which aren't there.

This isn't a minor flaw either. I've heard people float that some of the comedy is bad on purpose but I'm not buying it. That Digger is a "funny" and "entertaining" satire is fundamental to its broader thesis. That it isn't actually those things is a deadly blow.
