Gut punch of a story about an Amazon engineer who trusted ChatGPT-4o to manage and reduce her seizure med dosages. You'd hope someone who made it into a top engineering position would have known the limits of AI circa May 2024 www.nytimes.com/2026/10/27/w...

The Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves with these lies in service of an unconstitutional war that Congressional Republicans have let happen by abdicating their Article I powers.

TRUMP: “We didn’t start the war with Iran." LIAR! You illegally started the war on February 28 by assassinating Iran's Supreme Leader without Congressional approval. You even gave it a name: Operation Epic Fury. You said it would take 4–6 weeks. It’s been 8 months.

Ask any ACTUAL TEACHER, they will tell you how separating teens from devices literally designed to capture their attention is the only way to get their attention on learning. But no, sit outside the classroom in the cheap seats and pontificate about the woes of rules that help kids learn. GMAFB

The whole push for this came from a dark money group formed in March. Big victory for tech companies selling overpriced bags, abusive & lecherous security staff, and school shooters. What I get as a parent is an unfunded mandate for my local school board and daily fears about Uvalde. Gee, thanks.

The cost of home heating oil spiked dramatically this year, hitting an average of $6.19 per gallon as of Oct. 19, according to the Energy Information Administration. It was $3.60 per gallon last year, meaning it’s increased by more than 70%.”

Cuz we all LOVE ads.... ”But the Senate is up for grabs. Democrats see multiple paths to victory, although Republicans are pouring staggering amounts of money into close races in red states. Republicans are counting on that final blitz of TV ads to blunt the Democratic tide.”

Agreed plus the total contempt for voters paying higher prices after he promised the opposite.

Three moments broke Trump 2.0: 1) Kimmel and other attempted censorship after Charlie Kirk. Made public see the attack on speech. 2) Minnesota anti-ICE protests, Goode and Pretti killings. Made public see the attack on rights. 3) Iran war. Made public see bad foreign policy affects them directly.

Someone thought US mayors could sabotage public transport on election day. My reply: "Republican mayors preside over towns with almost no public transportation. Wherever people gather in larger numbers, they almost inevitably vote Democratic. USPS sabotage will fuck over red state voters, LOL.

Imagine how often this process has been repeated since mid-2025.

The hat trick of social media sins: 1. Crank out bad "hot takes" for clickbait 2. Ignore critics who point out your factual errors 3. Carry on as if nothing ever happened In PFT's case, it's corporate media, so don't expect a shred of integrity there to begin with. Legacy media is mostly shit.

Trump: "While oil prices are temporarily high ... the United States oil and gas business is making hundreds of billions of dollars"

This is what PFT runs a whole story for, to claim it was a strip sack. Who has control of the ball then the QB's knee touches? How many times per game do defenders TRY to strip a ball the runner is holding firmly? Pfffffffffffffffffffffft indeed.

The dumbest takes are MAGA trying to claim Obama’s line about Trump making the WH look like a Cheesecake Factory is somehow elitist because CF fans will be offended that someone doesn’t want the WH to look like a chain restaurant. Even their culture war BS is lame this cycle.

More evidence-based reporting...... "We’ve been here since the 19th. It is my 10th time in Paris. I am from NYC. Paris is excellent as always. The only thing we have noticed is that there are some luxury shops with boarded up/broken windows,

some graffiti with demonstration-related sentiments, and some melted pavement from trash fires. We haven’t encounter anything remotely disconcerting whatsoever. No protests, tear gas, looting that we have seen at all. We’ve walked about 70 miles around the city this visit.

Even yesterday, with a major rally, the big inconvenience was some museum closures. We walked 15 miles through the center of the city, from the 2nd to the Pantheon area, to the Champs de Mars and back, and nothing at all. I can nearly guarantee you will have a wonderful and safe visit.

Don't waste your time listening to podcasts. Terrible way to take in information, listening to people babble and wander and drone and talk in circles and say they're gonna get to a point but when they do if they do it's kinda not the same point and you can't remember WTF it's all about anyway.

Trump: "In Washington, all the restaurants were closing. People were being held up. They'd walk into a restaurant. Like Jesse James. 'Stand up! Give us all your money.' They're eating dinner at a fancy restaurant. All the restaurants were closing."

Point of clarification for the Steelers fans at 16:00 on Thursday: the Steelers Fan House is closing because it was (a) supposed to be open over the weekend (b) immediately adjacent to the Bastille, where Saturday's approved march will start.

The Stade de France is 15 km (9.3 miles) away, nowhere near any planned or usual protest zones, and it continues to be the case that nothing affecting the game or the stadium is expected, on Sunday or at any time.

Just go vote early in person and let the USPS screw the rural Republican voters who rely on it so much. Win-win. And you won't spend more than a few minutes start to finish.

Bolts@boltsmag.org

SCOTUS blocked the USPS rule that Trump demanded in a bid to restrict mail voting. But a different USPS policy affecting when mail is postmarked could still pose obstacles. Experts say people should mail forms and ballots as early as they can.

Finally someone exposes the racket going on.
