We just sent $100,000 to 20 open source projects ($5000 each) that the Syntax team use regularly and depend on. Thanks to all the maintainers for all your time and efforts! Thanks to @sentry.io and @opensourcepledge.com for giving us the resources to do this. blog.sentry.io/another-year...

blog.sentry.ioWe just gave a million dollars to Open Source maintainersSentry raised its Open Source budget from $750,000 to $1,000,000 this year. Here's why, and how we split it among maintainers and foundations.

Remember Internet Explorer’s “Page Transitions”? Well, they’re back, thanks to the View Transition API! → Blog post: brm.us/page-transit... → Demo site: page-transitions.style The project leverages IE’s meta tags so browser support is not limited to Modern Browsers™ but also includes IE 5.5–8.0 😆

We've been making some videos about leaflet, so we decided to put them on youtube! We're bloggers not vloggers so we're still getting the hang of it, but we'd appreciate if you subscribe, share, etc, you know the drill. www.youtube.com/@leaflet_pub

Did the world give up on calling tropical cyclones in the pacific Typhoons?

Hurricane Nolo edged further away from the Hawaiian Islands on Sunday as major Hurricane Polo bore down on Mexico's Baja California peninsula with a threat of storm surge, high winds and heavy rains. n.pr/4AzQs4f

I’m excited about this, not because I have an android device, but because it means someone else using an Android device is not a blocker for being able to message on Germ.🦠 #AtprotoEverything

So did anyone want an Android app?

@tolin.ski Ton of what you have said you you like in that one unfortunately connected Linux distro, I have found in the UBlue distros (Bluefin, Bazzite, et. al). I just don’t care about chasing updates at all anymore. Also my soul feels better having not touched something from that cruel man.

✂️ Knip v6.32.3 is out Some 🔥 fixes by no less than 8 new contributors 🧡 Still in awe how the downloads keep ramping up (2.5M/day!) — hopefully means both hoomans and agents cleaning up after 'emselves... 🧹 Watch this space, moar is coming! Changelogs: github.com/webpro-nl/kn... Knip: knip.dev

Well there goes the down button on my Pebble 2 duo. Might see about those 3d printed replacement buttons but without waterproofing I’m thinking this one will be relegated to a dev device. I’ll just wear the Time 2 until the Round 2 comes out. #PebbleWatch

There are 13 years between the release of The Wedding Singer and the year it portrayed. Could be just me, but I feel like 2013 and 2026 look much more the same than 1998 and 1985.

There is a very good chance @danielroe.dev asking you to click a link is a rickroll. Even with reasonable replies in the comments, I will be resisting the temptation.

PSA there was a Bluesky bug recently that reset DM settings for some users (to disallow incoming DMs). You should re-check your settings if you want to make sure you can be messaged!

It would be cool to see gamified language learning(like the owl app) but on the atmosphere and that is built on top of @locale.at I like the idea of owning my translations and it would be great to do that even as I work to get to higher proficiency.

I've wanted to try out local open models for a bit now. @cocore.dev made it pretty easy to set up a model on my Mac Mini and then connecting to my laptop remotely was the same level of easy. AND I also can test out and use other models from co/core members that my machine might struggle with. 🤩

This is very cool. What I think would be great to see is large conferences verifying past presenters. Follow lists before conf. Verify presenters after conf.

NPMX TO VERIFY NPM MAINTAINERS AND PROJECTS, BIG WIN FOR SOCIAL CODING

It was very funny watching @jimray.bsky.team explain ATproto to @zeu.dev @pds.dad @brittanyellich.com @dame.is @awarm.space and @bryn.codes. Obviously it was a “we’re making this show for the uninitiated to still enjoy” situation, but still got a kick out of the moment.

Jason Lengstorf@jason.energy

hey you, wanna watch @dame.is, @pds.dad, @zeu.dev, @brittanyellich.com, @awarm.space, and @bryn.codes build atproto websites? the latest Web Dev Challenge sponsored by @bsky.app launches this week! goes live Thursday at 3pm Pacific, and you should absolutely join us for the premiere 💜

This new RollerCoaster Tycoon game sucks. Everything costs more and this bloated angry idiot that is walking around won’t just leave already. Totally bringing the vibes down.

Hold up I might be crazy or this is one of those magic eye tests but I see the `r` in that cookie too. It really looks like the `r` got drunk and it’s leaning on it‘s friend `l` to hold it up. coolrie

This feels like one of those articles to come back to a few times.

What a great panel. I really would have liked to have heard from Elise Patrikainen and @debbie.codes. It’s rather disappointing the moderator only talked to @danielroe.dev and @evanyou.me.

I know most are excited about the Atmoshphere conf VODs to watch/re-watch the great talks. I am too, but cooler to me is the leap closer it brings @stream.place to replacing YT in my life. Glad they started with solving streaming first, but VOD is what will bring stream.place to the masses.

All VODs have now been uploaded with AAC audio renditions; this should improve playback on Safari and iOS. Happy hacking!
