I'm just gonna unapologetically talk about games that doesn't have a lot of coverage as a thread. Something that brings joy in all my life is getting people to play games they would of otherwise not played.

The man was an honest-to-god genius, a true vocal chameleon, an incredible talent, should have had decades ahead of him. An incredible tragedy.

Eric Bauza has sadly passed away at the age of 46, his family confirms in new Instagram post.

The most talented generational talent in the voice acting field. Literally taken way to early during his prime which is seriously just fucked up. I tend to not make many post on people passing away but this is such a major lost.

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

Is there any benefit a show having a 100 episodes for syndication anymore? Like is there a second wave of cable in the making for that to happen.

Why do so many women willing to post ha nude pictures on places like twitter for free with like 0 payment. Like I'm not including people with onlyfans just flat out doing it for the love of the game with 0 way to give them money. Is it just exciting or is it like an attention thing, or both?

Btw not saying it's a bad thing, infact totally cool with them doing this. It's just the quantity of people who do this is kind of crazy for me to wrap my head around. It's like super not niche.

Street fighter 4 looking back really did have the worst roster of original characters. Juri and C Viper really where great but I can't lie that I think the original characters in something like 5 did beat it.

Rewatching the Rambo movies on tubi and oh my god Rambo 2 sucks. First movie is still awesome. Im rewatching all of them cause I never watch the 2019 film.

Listen I know the merger is evil but I do kind of taking any hypothetical benefits and hoping Pluto TV gets better now having all the Warner bros discovery channels so I can have free cable.

Shows always appealed to me more then movies. It's just so weird that the new maimi vice movie might just make a lot of people never check the original show like what happen to the fugitive. Like if I bring up the show now people will be thinking in referring to the movie years from now.

My gf in her 30s never heard of Gilligan island, never heard of mash outside of the smiling friends quote, and didn't know the fugitive was a TV show. Its really insane how niche it is to watch pre 90s tv shows unless it's like the Twilight zone, SNL, animated, or Star Trek.

It's really fucked up thinking about how 90% of American animation from the 30s-60s is own by one company. And the other 10% is like Disney.

I think Tubi having the creator space is good. I hope they push it a little forward focusing on high quality channels in the era of ai. I'd love to work there to hand pick channels that are more structured like tv.

I think the new death battle with the conclusion they made is interesting cause it's only conclusions you can make so deep into these series runs. I think making Goku vs saitama now with how long they waited was probably a really good thing. Very happy with it not to spoil.

I think it's funny one of if not the most popular anime in America is cowboy bebop cause I think that just gives the USA aura. Which I feel like it desperately needs with how little Americans watch anything predating the late 90s lol.

In terms of anime taste Brazil kind of mogs the USA. However Americans who where deeply watching toonami and adult swim, used 4chan forums to find shit, and bought DVDs are kind of the fucking high standards fans of them all.

Sakurai comments reminded me of the video thegamingbrit made about remakes. I get the feeling sakurai thought the same thing Charlie did 2 years ago since game remakes I bet will be the ones replaced by primarily ai with people buying anyway. youtu.be/sloxE1MsE_k?...

Sakurai explains his opinion on originality and AI in a new interview: TLDR familiarity sells, but “___likes”, games with simple mechanics, etc are at most risk of being imitated by AI because their mechanics already exist originality, however, comes from creating something no one knows exists yet

Repo, big walk, and peak are probably some of the most innovative original games this generation. I think the fear mongering on originality of games are ignoring truly unique experiences that creates entire new genres. Original unique games dominate right now!

Literally a few years ago among us was all over the damn place carrying that new grounds energy. That created so many games like it. I am starting to not buy this doomer rhetoric my old head industry vets. The top steam sales every year is original games more and more.

It's kind of fucked up how good we had it for animation in the 2000s and what we lost in america. Anime was on multiple channels, with adult swim putting out all time bangers. Cartoon network was at its peak. Reruns of old cartoons. DVDs made stuff like Popeyes assesible. With newgrounds thriving.

Even YouTube it was really good for animators. Pixar was at an unbelievable killing streak with DreamWorks first coming in. Animated shows still got movies regularly. The quality of cartoon network and Nick was great. Like honestly what happen the pandemic was almost a golden age before it died.

Pros to State Switching needing a cooldown: ✔️ You have to commit to the state you switched to ✔️ Mechanics and buffs/debuffs designed around that ✔️ Ridiculous noise control Cons to State Switching needing a cooldown: ❌ Rejection of engagement ❌ More prone to bugs/exploits ❌ Ridiculous noise control

I think anyone asking for an art alternative website, it's really hard for me not to recommend newgrounds. As a user using it daily for the art page I feel like the feature tab is sincerely the best thing any site has ever done.

Going back on twitter was a trip seeing the Russian bots gone. It felt nice until I saw glimpses of pedo and Nazi Central which is like so bad now.

Honestly vibe coding garbage it's such a baby issue compared to what's going on with twitter that also has an AI model and vibe coding with grok. It's so fucked up there just morally speaking and just seeing fucked up shit reguarly.

Ocarina of Time remake is another example of the aggressive cycle of corporate remakes is fundamentally treating video games as disposable products rather than historic, singular artistic expressions. Human labor and hours should be preserved for actual innovation and ports.

When an older movie is celebrated, it is preserved in its original form. When an older game is celebrated, publishers treat its mechanics or visuals as "clunky obstacles" that need to be ironed out for a modern consumer. We are seeing that with the removed puzzles.

If I'm thinking of positives in the very few list for the Warner bros paramount merger I guess there's a chance that terrytoons will get a restoration
