Obama: Trump's lost it. If you thought he was bad the first time now he's declaring Charlie Brown had hoes. Guy who writes a Substack called like "the complicated marxist": God where do I even begin with this guy. A thread about Obama, newspaper cartoons and AI (1/87)

Big biannual event today at work. My departing boss and the one peer I have definitely decided it was fully my problem. And it has been a problem.

I'd like to think that, with more free time, a lot of people would do things ranging from art to community service to find meaningful ways to spend their time But even if they just play Xbox all day, that's better than having them haul treats around town for tips all day

Quiznos for 2 days. When I eventually went back to get my check the Quiznos was gone.

lmfao - W Social's own Terms of Service say that their service is restricted to 18+ year-olds only. wsocial.eu/public/tos Yet they STILL allowed a child to sign up, and then promptly doxxed them! 🫠

#WSocial’s advice here is TERRIBLE - deleting your account won’t change a thing. Just now I found the record of a minor (15yo) who was verified by #WIdentity. His account status is now “taken down” but his full name, nationality and approx. date of birth are still visible on W's verification list!

i think some of them love drawing and posting but don't care about comics. that is okay. nobody has to care about what i care about. but i care about what i care about.

it is becoming increasingly common for nominally progressive bsky accounts to misgender trans people who use ai. that shit is despicable.

i challenge you to post one optimistic take or belief today on bluesky this needn’t be toxic positivity, just good ol’ run of the mill optimism/hope in the face of a torrential downpour of doom

Bruce Wayne should use his vast fortune to fund a comics criticism venue that is only dedicated to Batman hot takes.

dwelling in the delusion of false enlightenment? so glad that it couldn't be me 😐

im so glad that i have gained true knowledge instead of seductive and proud illusory gnosis. yep.

i've been looking at a screen all day at a desk. i am burdened by ease. time to take a walk (to go get some candy).

“Tech is inherently political” is not just about ideology, but about power, too. Yielding technological improvements to the adversary will have predictable outcomes. I’m really worried it will lock in power centralization in a way that will be impossibly hard to reverse. It’s already happening.

How do we incentivize people to paint wizards on their vans again I haven’t seen a wizard van in a decade and it feels like we lost something precious Can we offer up a tax credit? Little bags of shrooms? Start a wizard van painting program at vocational schools?

When I was 4 years old the word “doody”, and sometimes”peepee”, was the funniest thing you could say but it’s not funny any more bc of feminism and Frankfurt school cultural Marxism infected our world with woke

hey #gundam people. i tried the first 2 episodes of mobile fighter g gundam and found it pretty bad. how does it progress? is it worth getting through the early eps?

it's fully impossible to tell what the devs thought would be fun or rewarding about dynamax battles in pokemon go.

having read about the extra stuff in Avengers Endgame Encore, i can say i would be frownin if i paid money just to see those bits

but really, watching endgame in theaters again might be fun enough all on its own. what does it matter. have fun.

The cover of Wolverine Origin III makes Logan look very bi. A lot of bi coming off of him. (cover by Wes Burt)

The iced coffee debate is really just a microcosm for the great management debate of the 2020s: “Is the purpose of staff to do their jobs, or to flatter your sense of self-importance?” These two metrics are actually completely separate!

My top twenty shows of the 21st century are the last 15 shows I watched and a handful of things I barely remember from like 2010 that I added to convince myself my taste is recency bias free.
