…characters like Trump and Musk with the tools at their disposal will allow an election defeat and a lame duck period or a peaceful transition of power? And I don’t see the necessary preparations on the democratic, decent, human rights centered side. Do your injunctions but courts won’t stop them, …

…do your posting and journalism but that won’t stop them. Are you willing to gather in masses at polling stations, be there physically, and stop Trump and his cronies from stealing this election? Because if you don’t, this election is lost regardless of votes cast.

The same goes vice versa where Trump tries to use Musk as his fillhorn to cling on to power in the upcoming midterms. What both ultimately have in common is that they will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to retain their place in power with access to all the resources of the U.S. government.

Which leads back to the #midterms. Trump already started an insurrection once to steal an election. In handing the FBI to useful idiot Patel and putting ICE on steroids he created his version of Gestapo and SA, who have already killed U.S. citizens indiscriminately. Does anyone believe that…

But this explains why Musk is currently all in on Trump, and has been for a long time. Musk himself confirmed on Carlsons podcast that he was fucked if Trump lost the election. Trump won and Tesla’s share price tripled, also gaining him access to all government data (DOGE), NASA, media regulators, …

…you name it. So to Musk Trump is the useful idiot enabling his pursuit of whatever messianic quest he is currently on, be it sustainable energy (outdated), space exploration (delayed but active) or currently his racist and white supremacist bullshit crusade. Wherever he finds praise, Musk will go.

This messianic streak explains why Musk went to bed with Trump. Usually egos this large can’t occupy the same space for long. I predicted a falling out, which happened spectacularly but didn’t lead to a full split as both rely on each other in a mutually parasitic relationship. Musk needs Trump…

…for government access, contracts and legal protection; Trump needs Musk for hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign contributions and for keeping Twitter a right wing propaganda machine. This relationship will blow up spectacularly, should one of them outlive the usefulness to the other.

…it flattering as “Hughes inventions didn’t fundamentally change the way humans live today“. This also explains Musks period of usefulness when he focused his energy on creating Tesla, which, because of the risk and effort involved, cannot be explained by pure greed.

The catch is, that the ultimate goal of Musk, like with Trump, is always himself. It has to be him. Going so far, that in a situation where someone else had a solution to a problem which he couldn’t sell as his own, he’d rather destroy it than allow for someone else to earn praise.

…all seven deadly sins, Musk adds a messianic streak. He wants to be a savior and be praised as such. This is most pointedly revealed in an episode recounted by Garrett Reisman, in which Reisman tries to flatter Musk by comparing him to the early Howard Hughes. To which Musk reacts by not finding…

That angle I am missing most. Too often American analysts seem to remember JFK as saying: "Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what Europe and Ukraine can do for your country." Europe and Ukraine need to deal with the consequences but the root causes are in the Kreml and the White House.

As I previously stated: Starlink is the one currently irreplaceable asset. The cruel truth: For the U.S. this is just symbolic. It won’t help with fuel prices, it will massively help Putin (which is the point) and it will prolong the war by not targeting the financial backbone of Russia.

To understand how the Trump administration behaves and makes (and unmakes) policy, you have to understand that it comes from a constant battle between incompetence and evil. Their policies are usually a combination of both in different measures.
