GTA IV: The Lost and the Damned. They changed the way bikes worked, tweaked the guns, and I liked the story a lot at the time.

The Chicago Sky has a player named Natasha Cloud, that's very fun. That'd be like the Toronto Maple Leafs with a player named Syrup. More teams need to get on Chicago's level here.

@proton.me My Email now has AI sorting stuff with "Primary", "Social", etc. Annoyingly, I have had to disable able it device by device. I want to disable all Proton AI across all products forever. I never want to hear about AI bullshit from Proton. Please give me a button for that like Firefox did.

The flow of AI messages in a big company is always down the hierarchy. Nobody is sending that nonsense to their boss. But it’s sort of a management perk that you can generate six paragraphs of emoji filled garbage and people will give it a million 🎉 or 🚀 as if they read it and liked it.

It’s the same vibe as company podcasts. A structure set up just to give execs positive, personally coded, feedback without them actually having to do anything.

This "movie" will never be made. Marketers are noting the names of every moron who writes articles like this. They're clearly easier marks than bag holders in a rug pull NFT discord. Never trust anything ever written somebody whose written an article like this.

The comedy-drama will star AI "actor" Tilly Norwood in a “hybrid production with traditional film and TV professionals — such as directors, writers and editors — working alongside AI specialists, with AI training and mentorship built into the production itself,” the company says.

This might be one of the most insane scandals in game history When Pokemon Go players scan PokeStops, theyve been unknowingly building a detailed visual model of the world which is being sold to a military contractor to build a no-GPS positioning for the new generation of unmanned killing machines

The only way to describe stuff like this is loser shit. Caring at all about an "#AI actor" that has done 0 acting is beyond pathetic.

The New York Times@nytimes.com

Our writer Taffy Brodesser-Akner interviewed Tilly Norwood, a computer-generated character described as “the world’s first A.I. actress.” She left exhausted. “It was the feeling of being at a computer all day. It was a dehydration of human interaction,” Brodesser-Akner writes.

Perfect example of how AI kills otherwise good feature ideas. If they made some kind of guide/walkthrough site and then let you do text to speech in game, people would love it and it would be awesome. Instead, #Microslop has just created another slop machine to annoy you somewhere new.

AmericanTruckSongs10@ethangach.bsky.social

Here's how Gaming Copilot will work on Xbox when it arrives later this year. According to Microsoft, 19 percent of early usage was just to chat with the AI as a companion. The guides are seemingly lifted without credit from the internet. It's unclear if that will change before console launch.

People love making and reading game guides. So there would have been community interest in some new site that would integrate community guides deeply into your Xbox. But this… it’s just an expensive way to steal work people would have given them for free if they had just made a better product.

I bought an RTX 3080 a few months after launch. Thinking it has a big enough performance gap over the PS5 for PC port jank. Since then, #Nvidia has worked tirelessly to make sure cards more powerful than mine are as unappealing as possible. Thanks I guess?

It's so sad to see the money grubbers take over the once great Mozilla foundation and try to crank up the revenue with AI slop. KDE has been running a very successful user donation campaign and the contrast between them and Mozilla's AI garbage is as stark as it is sad.

Developers deserve open tools, communities deserve representation, and everyone deserves trust. That’s the core of Mozilla’s AI strategy. Take a minute to read our roadmap for AI: blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/r...

It's really annoying how hard it is to buy music. What I'd like is to go to a band's website and then pay them what they think is a fair price for their latest release. Stretch goal; also let me buy a CD other than the most recent release.

I don't know what Deloitte charged for this non-sense report. But the guy behind the King James Programming Markov chain (kingjamesprogramming.tumblr.com) can probably generate much funnier nonsense for a much lower price, and it wouldn't even require boiling the ocean. Just an idea.

Awful news. Wes gets all the attention but Sam was vital to their sound. The first note most people heard from "Limp Bizkit" was the killer bass line to "Nookie."

Every day after I have my first meeting, #Microsoft #Teams begs me to put their stupid #AI #Copilot in the sidebar. If it were actually a good product, they would not have to work this hard to juice the usage stats. I can't wait for this bubble to pop so that these losers leave me alone.

This is a great guide! If, like me, you're also into self hosting you can also check out meta search engine #SearXNG (github.com/searxng/sear...). It's a fun project to set up and run as well as being at least as good as Duck Duck Go.

Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies. For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!

On every platform I use, #Firefox is the best browser. It’s really annoying how hard #Mozilla works at trying to make me dislike them.

I really dislike the number of services that want me to get their app just so they can essentially send me e-mail. Honestly, when I want info from you I should be able to go to your website. And when I want you to be able to send me info, I should give you my e-mail. The end.

I'm disappointed that #Mozilla now have an #AI bullshit extension to maintain. At a moment where they're about to lose the #Google money, instead of focusing on the browser they've launched an expensive toy. This @omgubuntu.co.uk write-up covers it well www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2024/12/orbi....

Page 2 of the report - yeah, we don't typically release reports on people who we no longer have jurisdiction over. But we do sometimes. (Footnote: See matter of William H. Boner)

I really think it's stupid to charge fares for #PublicTransit. I have, and quite like, the #DeutschlandTicket. But, all the infrastructure in and around collecting fares, and chasing down people for fines is just a complete waste. It's an insulting waste too as it only targets the poor.

I picked up a Miyoo Mini Plus and put #OnionOS on it. I now have the #Pico8 console I've been dreaming of for years. Train rides to the office are about to be better than ever.

It also handles the retro systems I care about allowing me to play classics like #NHL94 or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater for the #GameBoy Colour.

“Two years ago, Elon Musk bought Twitter. I personally didn’t have a problem with that, because I’m a common sense centrist who nevertheless only writes about how much I agree with reactionary ideas.” Pitch-perfect satire.

I merged this PR into one of my #selfhosted projects today and boy did it ever feel good. I opened up the project because a dependency I was using got deprecated and the inspiration struck.

It's not as beefy as my #gamingpc but in many ways my #SteamDeck is my favourite way to game. From suspend/resume to that amazing OLED screen, and more. I dream of a future world where the #SteamDeck 5 pis powerful enough to drive my 4K TV in docked mode and then that'll be all I need.

I can’t believe I’m actually looking forward to new #InfoWars content. Weird feeling lol

Ben Collins@bencollins.bsky.social

Hi everyone. The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars. We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website. We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off. I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.

One hilarious thing in #TheDivision is that if you scan a "civilian in need" to determine what help they need. Such a bonkers alternative to just having your character ask them. Me: "I just scanned your neck, hands, and crotch; here's that soda you need" Civilian: "Cheers, here's a scarf" 🤣

#TheDivision is ~8 years old and I still like it. I install the game every few months, play it for a bit then move on. The core gameplay loop is very fun, even though the story is bad at basic every level. It's basically the only shooter with spongy enemies I like.

Whoever designed the comment system in #Excel did a very nice job. It's very useful and the ability to "solve" them is such a nice touch.

You are up to date.
