I’m usually pretty good at gauging what jokes are gonna be hits, but Green Chew has been surprisingly sticky with both the audience and the rest of the cast.

Bell Beast is, in fact, very adorable. I have held it and can confirm.

I am at Desert Bus all week long, starting tomorrow at 4pm Pacific time! I also made a Bell Beast that you can win! #DesertBusForHope

Two more of the 9 have flipped to “no”, making it 5 yes and 4 no. Further flips (questions 2 and 4) unlikely but not strictly impossible as the final votes come in.

Trying to decide on the funniest Magic card I could get slabbed and graded. 1) heavily played if not outright damaged (obviously) 2) considered bad to awful in every format 3) iconic or interesting rather than utterly forgettable chaff

One of the really fascinating things about Charlie Kirk is that his own people’s response to his death was so nakedly opportunistic that it’s like oh, ok, this guy is fair game for literally anything, he’s an object, and now his soul is trapped inside Grok for eternity.

I went basically straight from the polls to the clinic. But you know what? No stickers! I *should* be rocking both "I voted!" and "I got vaccinated!" stickers right now, but noooooo, the UCP is too cheap.

Advanced polling has been very popular, mail-in has been very popular, hopefully the message has gotten out, the crowds have diffused through the different opportunities, and we get the predicted 80% turnout.

If you mailed in your ballot check the ballot tracker in the link provided in the confirmation email you got when you applied for the ballot. If it is NOT listed as RECEIVED AND VOTED, *vote in person today*

I got through the whole thing in about a half hour. Definitely plan on taking longer than usual, especially as the day goes on: the process has been made inefficient on purpose to suppress turnout and give separatists every edge they can steal.

There’s no room for individual VA lines because the space in the voting area is taken up by each VA having ten individual ballot boxes for each of the ten questions.

There’s a physical choke point in the building, not enough space for each ED to have a line, so workers need to keep calling down the hall for “the next ##”. Despite this the line is moving… okay and not getting too much longer as people arrive.

Confusion already, the registration line was blocking the actual vote line, people standing in line for the wrong thing. If you already have a yellow vote card from Elections Alberta with your correct address make sure you’re not in a registration line.

Touring musicians: how do *you* draft a set list? Do you have a very conscious formula or is it more instinctive? Tell me about your creative process there.

They realized they needed to make the main question straightforward and it was going to lose, so the backstop is "well 'remain in Canada' won, but people have a lot of concerns about borders and the only way to strengthen our borders is to separate"

Wait, how did the Alberta referendum become ten questions?

This referendum has been immensely wasteful, hundreds of millions of dollars, and further pursuit of the separatist agenda would simply waste more. The UCP has had to pull strings, change rules, and disregard public sentiment at every step just to get this far.

Separatism is astroturf, the end goal is a puppet client of the US if not territorial annexation. Separatist leaders have met with MAGA politicians and made promises divvying up Alberta’s resources.

Anticipate lines: turnout estimates are high and the UCP has under-staffed Elections Alberta and added steps to slow the process. This is a deliberate tactic: this sham MAGA astroturf only wins if no one shows up. Separation is incredibly unpopular.

Didn't buy the desk in my Witch Crest play-through because I figured the influence of the grey root parasite would be the bug equivalent of r/MaleLivingSpaces

I learned to crochet when I was a teenager because sitting with the old church ladies and keeping them company was preferable to being the schmuck raking leaves, lol.

I’ve known how to crochet and knit for decades, but I’d never made anything in either craft more complex than a pot holder, it was just something to keep my hands busy. Then a year ago I picked up amigurumi, and now: bsky.app/profile/fold...

After months of work I've finally finished my craft-along project for @desertbus.org: Hornet and her loyal companion Bell Beast! Patterns are by Aquariusmakes (Bell Beast) and Ami_amour (Hornet)

WIP The cloak was so bell-shaped I went off-pattern for the first time and added the scalloped white as the faydown lining. Plan on sewing in eyes with black wool and then felting them. She’s about 2x taller than my previous Hornets, which surprised me because I only went up half a hook size.

People like to talk up how complicated and twisty the ending of American Psycho is, but the message is very simple and clear: real estate agents will gladly help you cover up a murder.
