Given a choice between telling anyone this story and having my skin peeled off, I’d ask them for the knife and start with my fingertips.

San Francisco's latest walking tour takes people past cats in windows, and apparently, the demand is enormous. Nearly 100 people gathered Saturday for a neighborhood “catwalk,” a free afternoon stroll past the homes of local cats, all volunteered by their owners for a moment in the spotlight.

I don’t live in Maine, but seeing clips of that debate and all I can think to myself is, “why are they both so fucking old?”

I had a taste of being in a flow state this week during a whiteboarding interview. It made me realize how tough these past few months have been on me. Something’s gotta give.

I’m looking for my next gig and excited about what comes next. My work sits where technical depth meets customer outcomes. Years at Vercel building post-sales Field Engineering; GTM at Clerk. If you’re hiring or just want to talk shop about developer success as a function, I’d love to connect.

Just saw a news report Kamala is considering yet another run. Yes. Please run yet another Boomer. Dems literally learn nothing.

He overdressed. Falls asleep on the job. Not good with numbers, code, or computers. Brought his own ‘special cookies’ and will not share with anyone. Demands attention. Ironically he’s an expert in o11y. 10/10 good boy.

Me: “Why do I feel like such shit today?” Federal building next door: backup generator running loudly for three hours straight on a windless day Me: “Ah yes. Noise pollution so loud my floors vibrate and air pollution just filling my apartment.”

Had a call with my mom yesterday and it divulged into me explaining private equity. She had her HVAC replaced last year and her heat this winter—a notably cold one in Virginia—has not been consistently working. She’s taken to going to the neighbors when her heat goes out.

“I’ve been after them. I call them and they send a random new tech every time to come. I chose them because they said they’ve been in business for forty years. I call in and ask for the boss, the owner, and suddenly they tell me they’re owned by a company in Florida.”

The company was acquired by a private equity firm. They are cutting corners every chance they get and are waiting out the clock on the one year warranty. She was sold a lemon that has required nearly monthly warranty service calls for a year. And they will get away with it.

See? Nothing.

I think the worst part about all of this is that I know there will never be any semblance of accountability for any of these people.
