Nobody in particular. Eclectic interests. Generally optimistic. Occasional flashes of humour too subtle for some (even me). But overall quite nice. Honest 😀

I am Jewish. My grandparents were Jews who escaped the Holocaust. Pogroms were a common practice, ethnic cleansing too, and they managed to escape before the Holocaust. Most of their family members are dead, we’re a broken family tree with missing spots. I support Palestine BECAUSE I am Jewish.

Funny how an American Muslim candidate is often questioned about extremism, linked to radicalism, and called names by Trump and his ilk. I wonder why they don't ask Jewish American candidates about Israel, the genocide in Gaza, the West Bank, or what lies children in Israel are taught about Muslims?

In the APS preparation for Senate Estimates is to be as ambiguous, obfuscating, indirect, evasive, & vague as possible. I’ve seen it first hand. There needs to be consequences for this behaviour.

In a 1994 interview on the Charlie Rose Show, Benjamin Netanyahu defined terrorism as “the deliberate and systematic murder, maiming & menacing of the innocent to inspire fear for political ends." He said that “democracies must treat terrorists strictly as international criminals”. Indeed.

If Jewish pupils are feeling upset when they see a Palestinian badge, the correct response is not to erase Palestine from schools--it's to educate those kids that a genocide is taking place and the correct moral position is to oppose it. Anything less is a dereliction of duty.

I didn’t know much about about Abdul El-Sayed before watching this but I knew as soon as I’d seen it that he’d worked as a teacher — and sure enough he was an assistant professor in epidemiology. This is how you walk a student through a dumb take.

Everything the author says applies to Australia. But in one way it is worse: the governing Labor party will not allow any dissent on Israel - even debate - within its own parliamentary ranks. #GazaGenocide #auspol

www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... I agree with the author of this article. The intransigence shown towards Gaza’s suffering by govs in Europe (compared to the outpouring of sympathy/outrage by ordinary ppl) has rocked the 🌍 and destroyed confidence in the fundamental principles of human rights.

Angus Taylor first claimed his migration policy was PBO-costed. Now he says he can’t cost it because Labor’s policy (released a month before his)—“keeps changing.”🤦‍♂️ This is complete rubbish. LNP lies only get harder to swallow under Angus.

Israel has demanded that Palestinians in Gaza evacuate from the last surviving Medical Centres. So they can blow them to bits. It's a Genocide, there is no Ceasefire.

In the horror of a Genocide this is a moment of hope. 15 of the children from the Gaza Nipper’s program got back in the surf this week. 30 of the other nippers can’t be found, many have been killed. How has the world made the decision to send so many bombs and so few lifesavers?

Keep in mind: The 74,000+ murdered Palestinians ONLY includes people whose bodies were recovered and properly identified based on their official Gaza Health Ministry ID number. Most studies now estimate the number of people Israel and their backers have ethnically cleansed in Gaza at over 700,000.
