I think the other thing is that I'm extremely judgemental in situations such as this, because I encountered it as a child/teen and managed to get out of it eventually. When I see older individuals doing this, it kind of enrages me? Like a "what is your excuse?" Kind of way of thinking I guess..?

I feel so distraught over AI in media. :/ I'm trying to avoid it like the plague, but it's freaking everywhere. Yesterday we were at the mall and I walked into a greeting card shop to look at Christmas cards, and lo and behold there's a whole freaking row of them. I left asap.

I don't know if it's even possible to find a company NOT selling this slop, but I am extremely against AI art for what should be obvious fucking reasons. AI is not only stealing jobs from living breathing people, but it has been trained on unwilling artists. It is theft in my eyes.

Disney has agreed to pay $66 million a year to Character.ai employees so they can join the company, as part of CEO Josh D'amaro’s current AI strategy. Disney recently placed a $20 million bid for the assets of the controversial chatbot platform as it filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

I even look at the past CEOs who took over (Eisner), and although his ideas were idiotic, there was still somewhat of a person striving to keep the Disney name associated with quality. It's just really funny to see that turned upside down.

Tesla isn't planning to sell the supposedly flying version of this car even to rich dipshits (except maybe by invitation to some) and the fanciest features of the car they do plan to sell are only useful for stunts on demonstration courses. None are at all relevant to being a successful car company.
