Part 1 of our Carbon Pricing Education Series in partnership with @rff.org is available now! 👉 cclusa.org/session1 This first session provided a baseline foundation for carbon pricing for both total newbies and seasoned carbon pricing advocates.
What are those exceptions? What is an ideal carbon pricing policy? Watch the recording on our YouTube channel, then plan to join us for session two on October 1 where we will cover affordability as it related to carbon pricing policies: cclusa.org/carbon-pricing-series

To continue to add clean energy to the grid, the United States needs to reform the permitting process. Tell Congress you support permitting reform at cclusa.org/permitting
This month marks our final deep-drive training into CCL's BRIDGE advocacy training program. This is your sign to catch up on all 9 training sections and join us Thursday, Sept. 4 at 8 pm ET for our final training on The Art of Climate Storytelling. RSVP: cclusa.org/bridge9
It's not fair that those who have done the least to cause climate change are facing climate impacts like these. That's why we're pushing Congress to act. The U.S. is responsible for nearly 5 billion metric tons of global emissions every year. Things need to change — fast.
Last month, 750 CCL volunteers made permitting reform a central topic of more than 400 meetings with Congress. Now, we're continuing to see encouraging news that permitting reform will be a central topic when the Senate reconvenes after the Aug. recess. www.kotatv.com/2026/08/20/t...
To fully explore carbon pricing advocacy, including our options moving forward, CCL has partnered with @rff.org to launch a brand new, six-part virtual learning series. The 1st session, “Current Economic Consensus on Carbon Pricing” takes place Sept. 3. 👉 cclusa.org/carbon-pricing-series
This kickoff will provide a foundation. You’ll hear how leading researchers approach carbon pricing, what decades of data tell us about its effectiveness, and the key design choices policymakers face. This event is open to the public. Learn more at cclusa.org/carbon-pricing-series 🔗
Persistent, solution-oriented action. Way to go!! 👏👏
You can’t tell from my Bsky feed, but my top priority is: building political will for climate action at the US federal level. My personal outreach this past year: - 32 calls & emails to my Members of Congress (MoCs) on climate-related policy - 5 lobby meetings w MoC staff H/t @cclusa.org 🔌⚡️
Over 90% of new power capacity built in the U.S. in the first half of 2026 was clean! The latest U.S. Energy Information Administration data, analyzed by @insideclimatenews.org, shows solar, wind, and battery storage are doing the heavy lifting to help America meet its energy demands.
We looked at the 368 new U.S. power plants that went online in the first half of this year, and this list tells a story of a boom in utility-scale solar, plus lots of batteries.
Part 1 of our Carbon Pricing Education Series kicks off Sept. 3! Everyone is welcome: cclusa.org/part-1 This session will cover carbon pricing basics & explore how researchers talk about it. We will also examine key design elements to consider when crafting new policy.
This session is part one of our public, six-part series in partnership with @rff.org. Together, we're learning what a decade of real-world carbon pricing can teach us—and how that knowledge shapes stronger, more durable climate advocacy. #carbonpricing #energypolicy
Americans paid $217 on average for electricity last month. #CleanEnergy is less susceptible to dramatic price fluctuations and helps keep utilities like electricity affordable. We need to reform the permitting process to bring more clean energy online and connected to the grid 📈 #permittingreform
In May 2026, 85% of California's energy came from clean sources, and more than half came from solar power. We love to see it! National #permittingreform will help this trend continue and ramp up clean energy power nationwide 💪
California got more than half of its power from solar in May. That’s a massive clean energy milestone.

This year’s wildfire season has surpassed its 10-year average for both the number of fires and total acres burned. Right now, more than 99 large fires are burning, with significant damage in the Pacific Northwest happening right now.
If you’re in an affected area, or know someone who is, tell Congress your concerns! Use our wildfire action tool to ask your representatives to take action. ➡️ community.citizensclimate.org/tools/wildfi...
