The Walking Dead: Michonne is such an interesting entry in the video game series. Really, the intended audience is not so much any fans of Clementine, nor is it for any fans of Michonne in the TV series. But it’s for fans of the comic book. When you let it stand alone as an extended episode…

telling a singular story, you start to appreciate what it has to offer. I love Clementine and her story—but getting to explore Michonne’s time away from the rest of the ensemble while dealing with her trauma makes me wish we got even more stories in addition to Clementine. Good addition overall.

All live service games will eventually come to an end, but it’s still weird when it happens. I don’t even play Pokémon UNITE, but it’s a shame to see it go

Episode 196 "Golbat vs. the Masked Queen Musashi! The Battle of the Ruins!!" Takeshi's Golbat evolves into Crobat, and also Musashi becomes queen for the day. Musashi's obviously the star of this one but Takeshi has some great moments as well. #DogasuWatchesJohto

Man, I wanted to go to see the Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution this past weekend, but it just didn’t work out this year

this year, i've done a really good job maintaining my screenshots and making any image i need ahead of time. if i'm still making one big video instead of a lot of little videos next year, i gotta make sure i keep up with the writing part lol that fell off quickly this year

despite having one more SNES game available thanks to the SN operator by epilogue, i've only played one this year. who knows what's gonna end up being my December game tbh

I can already tell I'm spending less time trying more games this year than the previous two years. BUT that also means that the games I boot up, I'm finishing. surely there's some conclusion i'll reach by the end of the year

idk if it's obvious but my website is just a tumblr blog lol idk why i don't post more of my informal thoughts on there instead of exclusively on here

Sakurai explains his opinion on originality and AI in a new interview: TLDR familiarity sells, but “___likes”, games with simple mechanics, etc are at most risk of being imitated by AI because their mechanics already exist originality, however, comes from creating something no one knows exists yet

My October game is… The Walking Dead: Season Two! Yes, I played this a couple of years ago, but this was before I took screenshots of every game! This time around, I focused heavily on how much this is a sequel to Season One. So many references, naturally! But what I loved is experiencing new…

scenes due to choices I didn’t even consider the two previous playthroughs. I will say, tho. First time, I chose to go with Jane and that made me so angry. Second time, I chose to go with Kenny and that made me so sad. But this time, I opted for Wellington, and well, I guess we’ll see!

October traditions I’ve adopted over time: watching Over the Garden Wall, ParaNorman, and Night of the Living Dead. (I have Romero’s entire franchise now!) I also like to play The Walking Dead Telltale series, too. This year I’m replaying the second game as well as Michonne.

someone on the runescape subreddit posted about having 30,000 in the game and... i genuinely think that's more hours i've put into playing every video game ever. yeah, i'd be mad, too

My September game was The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages! This was my FAVORITE Zelda game as a kid, so it was AWESOME to revisit it. In comparison to Seasons, Ages is the more creative game. It feels more original with its puzzles, and time travel is just cooler than changing the weather. Sorry!

While I can play Ages from memory without looking up any guides at this point, this was the first time I played it as a linked game! Usually, I play Ages first, then Seasons, so it was cool to see the minor changes to the story with the incorporation of Zelda and the Subrosians. Overall, best game!

Jagex posting how RuneScape: Dragonwilds is not living up to their visual expectations on the Nintendo Switch 2 is so funny to me because I genuinely did not notice any major issues with resolution or visual fidelity lol

i already post basically my every thought regarding video games on here but i think i'mma try using my tumblr blog/website a bit more

Ok I’m having an amazing time playing RuneScape: Dragonwilds already. Who could have ever guessed I’d be woodcutting on a Nintendo Switch 2 one day? Certainly not me when I was in 8th grade!

I finally finished the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons!… so now I can start Oracle of Ages like I originally intended. I never played it as a linked game before, so I thought it’d be fun—especially since I went and got all of the rings possible

Hehe my current save file of Oracle of Seasons using a Hero’s Secret from a save file from the Switch. While I am playing on an emulator, I did put that file on an actual cartridge so I can get the GBA exclusive rings. Later I’m gonna use ring secrets to get those rings back onto the Switch lol

I wanted to play Zelda game, so I booted up what I thought was a linked game of Oracle of Ages. Turns out I was playing a hero’s game instead. I forgot I had played through Seasons as a linked game already lol. So I’m playing through Seasons to get a code for Ages lmao

it matters a lot to me that these are physical games in my possession. equally as important to me as my save files on the nintendo switch classics service apps

for a long time, i was really resistant to emulators but i gotta admit, once the delta emulator dropped and i started using operators from epilogue, my physical game collection exploded. i bought so many more games than i ever would've considered and i plan to at least try them all. i won't resell
