Well hello Bluesky. Here to remind us all to take a deep breath in the face of (gestures broadly at everything).

If you have 3+ drinking vessels around you right now…please consider making one of them water. That’s all.

“Ok so if Max is going back to HBO Max, i think we should-“ Boss: “No you can’t rename us clam”

“I asked chatGPT —“ Yea, well, I asked a little clam living it’s best life in a tropical coral reef what the meaning of life was - and apparently it’s that - so now I’m a clam too and we’re all vibes bro.

Never forget that caterpillars turn into complete goo before becoming butterflies. Oh, this isn’t a metaphor for transformation…being a cocooned pile of goo just sounds kinda nice right now.

Please don't forget to drink water, close your laptop, and wander off into a forest to start a new life living in a hollow tree and making acorn soup for your woodland friends.

If you’re fighting for a moment of peace in this chaotic news cycle, a moment of stillness in your racing mind, and a moment of quiet in your overstimulating day…I just want you to know that see you. 🫶

I wake, stretch my arms up, and release a guttural sigh, so loud, that it silences the birds outside. Mountains tremble. A deep sea leviathan wakes. The Hubble telescope turns around. In the distance, sirens.

Today, I’m just a little penguin giving each one of you a pebble because you deserve it and I like you.

You’re randomly added to a group chat and, much like your public Venmo feed, you KIND of know these people, but not really. What’s your first text?

I don’t want to hustle, or grind, or crush it. I want to lie down. And no, I won’t be “getting this bread” unless it’s a REAL croissant in my face. Thank you for respecting my wishes.

Reminder: ‘Everything everywhere all at once’ is a great title for a movie, but not a very sustainable way to live.

*Opens internet* Nope *Goes outside. Walks down the road. Takes a new name. Moves to small beachside community to weave baskets by the sea and become part of local lore.*

Yes, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel…but I feel like we all wouldn’t mind if the tunnel was a bit shorter. Like, we get it, it’s dark.

It’s okay to not be calm. Just wanted to say that in case you needed permission to feel whatever it is you’re feeling about… (gestures at everything).

Summarize your job in 5 points? Pass. Gonna summarize life. 1. Imagined I was a jellyfish floating with zero problems. 2. Felt the sun on my face. 3. Unclenched my jaw 153 times. 4. Exhaled a silent scream. 5. Was a silly goose.

Met my younger self for coffee. Told them that all that they’ve endured will help them develop a sense of empathy and humor that will help other people feel less alone in the world someday. They nodded and asked if we still had a sick burned CD collection and I said yea LOL it’s still in the car.

The early bird gets the worm. The night owl gets peace and quiet. The afternoon squirrel just vibes. The late-morning pigeon does brunch. The 4pm lizard gets tacos on Tuesdays. You do you.

Maybe you're not “bad at resting”... maybe society has conditioned everyone to believe that exhaustion is a personality trait. We're gonna unlearn it. Dare to nap. Sleep out of spite. Rest in rebellion.

Rest is not “doing nothing.” Rest is literally how your body repairs itself. You wouldn’t yell at your phone for needing to be plugged in. You are allowed to recharge your existence.

Hey. Unclench your jaw. Drink some water. Scream a little. Do a silly little dance. Carry on.

Ok so…THAT was January. *Puts on suit of armor, goggles, and wields a rolling pin and DVD of Pride & Prejudice* Let’s do this February.

On harder days, be gentle with yourself. Be kind. Heavy emotions may require rest and comfort. You are a human being feeling all the things, and you were not meant to “power through” them. Take care. 💙

Stars can appear as beautiful and serene lights in a dark sky - but never forget - they are still exploding, burning infernos of color and energy. So, whether you’re feeling calm and collected or fiery and enraged, you are still a guiding light in the dark. 🌌

It’s okay to feel like crashing out. It’s okay to feel okay. It’s okay if today is hard. It’s okay if today is chill. It’s all okay.

*opens internet* *closes internet* *smashes computer Office Space style* *takes a deep breath* *is at peace*

Don’t forget that music has the power to support or shift your feelings. Pick a song and belt it out. I’m going with 4 Non Blondes “What’s Up” because it feels right for some reason.

Take a scroll break. Put down the phone. Go outside. Take a walk. Climb a mountain. Craft a wizards staff. Summon a dragon. Ride away from society. #selfcare

Don’t forget to unplug when you need to. Turn off the TV, throw the phone into the sea, and just exist as the human being on a flying rock in space that you are (that we ALL are).

When you’ve had a rough day, what is your go-to “reset” to help yourself feel better? Note: I want to know what you ACTUALLY do, not what you think you SHOULD do. If it’s unconventional, all the better!

I’ll go first: - Cozy clothes and multiple blankets - Warm, satisfying food (that could be soup or French fries tbh) - LOTR or Pride & Prejudice

Maybe we aren’t here to maximize our productivity and hack our schedules. Maybe we’re here to make soup, take naps, and hang with friends. Ideally in a hollow tree in a forest meadow.

Everything right now kind of feels like…a lot. I know. Take time for yourself, wherever you are, and try to find tiny pockets of joy. A beautiful flower, the sparkle on the snow, your kid’s laugh, your pet’s soft fur. Feel free to share here to spread the joy. 💙

Try not to underestimate the power of community. Family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, the barista you see every day, your mail person, your kids' teachers, or the friends you've made online. Community can come from anywhere. When things are hard, please remember you aren't alone.

Sending so much care and support to everyone affected by the #LAfires right now. May the winds die down and all of you, firefighters included, remain safe. 💙

You know, sometimes it can feel good to let out a really long, dramatic, sigh. Some things deserve it. It’s 2025, we are done letting our minds swirl down an unwanted drain. Inhale personal peace, groan/exhale (gestures at everything).

Give yourself an extra minute in bed, drink your coffee leisurely, pause and take a deep breath outside before getting in the car, and maybe whisper to the void rather than screaming into it. We’re going to ease into this new week (and new year) as gently as possible.

PSA: No, it’s still not time to circle back. That’s Monday. I am gently requesting that you step away from the keyboard. Thank you.
