Bitch-ass Tommy Peepee.

SCOOP: 'Tommy' from the now-viral exchange with Abdul El-Sayed is Thomas Teepell, a former staffer for Republican Senator Josh Hawley with close ties to Christian Nationalist Sean Feucht. He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.

And 10 minutes before showtime, I discovered that Stephen Graham Jones and Nicholas Russell had given a talk upstairs and were selling and signing books. Signing line was WAY too long to wait, but I did pick up a couple books.

Just watched a 4K restoration of Manhunter on the big screen; Michael Mann’s adaptation of Red Dragon. William Petersen is an intense Will Graham and Tom Noonan is great as Francis Dollarhyde. Plus Bran Cox as Hannibal Lecter.

It’s a lesson I relearn on almost a daily basis.

it’s good to have a place where you put things and then you put your things there and then later when you want them you know where they are because they’re in the place where you put things

Dude moves less naturally than Pinocchio did before the Blue Fairy showed up.

Hegseth: "Today, at my direction, I'm establishing the Office of Religious Affairs. It will report straight to the top -- a direct line to the secretary ... as Psalm 33:12 extolls us, blessed is the nation in which God is the Lord"

Our local indie theater put up their list of movies for the October spooky season and I am freaking *psyched*. They call their October film series "The Wake" and they have a coffin set up next to the screen all month.

My local Albertson's has these mini maple shortbread cookies out for fall so I got a box to try them. They're pretty darn good, I recommend them. They also pair nicely with a cup of coffee.

If the super advanced future AI that created an ultra-realistic simulation of me *really* wanted me to believe in it, all it would have to do is offer me a brief, real glimpse into hell as proof. Nothing like that has happened to any of these people yet they still believe it. It's a religion.

Almost the entire US technology policy space has been taken over by rich funders and consultants who genuinely believe the below wackadoodle sci-fi AI scenario is extremely likely, and that preventing it is the most important thing we could be doing right now. www.verysane.ai/p/ai-safety-...

Just like every place that has done UBI experiments saw improvements and it still doesn’t get implemented.

Our society's unfathomable cruelty to homeless people is not just morally unjustifiable, but more expensive than housing people would be. Cruelty against the homeless is an unaffordable luxury. Abandoning homeless people to avoid offending the Protestant work ethic is an unaffordable luxury.

ProPublica@propublica.org

ProPublica spoke to dozens of people who had lived in homeless encampments when cities cleared them out in “sweeps.” We distributed notecards so people could tell us about the toll in their own words. ➡️ This is what they wrote:

One of the times being boring as fuck rewards itself.

My distractability is distracting me. I want to hear more of the music from the very beginning of the Silent Hill Townfall gameplay trailer, the tune that's played during the telephone voiceover. It's not "Home," the track that's been released. Urrrg.

I'm having the same issue with the music they play under the "next time on" segments during "Dimension 20: City Council of Darkness" because the Superego podcast also used it during a segment.

I don't know who needs a real pickmeup today, but in recent court filings about the wealth owned by Andrew Tate, they indicate the Bugattis and Aston Martin he always bragged about owning... were rented. All of them.

Agree. And note: it says "shouldn't have to" because there ARE cities where transit isn't as robust or trustworthy as it should be or even close to nonexistent. It just shouldn't be that way is all.

Cool Bike Art@coolbikeart1.bsky.social

If you live in a city you shouldn't have to own a car.

There is clear photo evidence that when I was born I did not have complete control of my arms and legs. Now the LAMESTREAM media would have you believe that I am capable of walking and fine manipulation. Explain that.
