Eby should have just resigned instead of calling an election. It would have been better for both the NDP and BC Conservatives to have a real leadership race before going to the electorate. Now that drama that hasn’t been addressed re: Findlay will be happening in the background of government.
negative charisma lol
The results of this BC election are incredibly disappointing to me. The NDP clearly have a public relations problem (and Eby has negative charisma) but in policy, they have objectively done a lot of good. They built a ton of new hospitals, housing, and transit. Things that really matter.
💯
My "may make me unpopular on Bluesky" take is that Carney rides high in the polls not *in spite of* but actually *explicitly because* he governs conservative. Canada has been tilting right for a while. Pierre Poilievre was perceived as too incompetent & too toadying...not too conservative. #cdnpoli

Ronan Farrow reported in a 2023 New Yorker piece that the Pentagon signed a contract to keep Musk from cutting off Ukraine’s battlefield connectivity at will. Colin Kahl described it as a way to lock in service so Musk couldn’t just flip the switch, considering Musk's known antipathy towards Ukraine

It would be grand, then, if the Government of Canada would terminate any use of X/Twitter. And don't say, "Oh, we need it to get our messages out," because then you are "caught in a situation where we are reliant on one provider."
Mark Carney on what Elon Musk's throttling of Starlink means for Canada: "We do not want to be caught in a situation where we are reliant on one provider that puts Canadians at risk or compromises our sovereignty, our ability to express our values and live our values."

So, does this mean that Mitch Sylvestre and Jeff Rath were... drum roll please... MAGA paid influencers?? Would that be voter interference by... America?? Just very hypothetical questions. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
The Alberta prosperity project has officially cut ties with Mitch Sylvestre and Jeff Rath. No word on their UCP memberships though… #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
