This supercut from MeidasTouch is likely to make Trump VERY upset. The difference between Trump and Obama is on full display, and the contrast is absolutely devastating. Watch until the end…

I do think one priority for Executive Branch reform should be to specify that Presidential pardons cannot be issued "pre-emptively," but only after a conviction has been obtained in a court of law. Might strike both ways, I guess, but it would help prevent a lot of misconduct.

This is the man running to replace the odious Rich McCormick in my own congressional district in Georgia, Tony Kozycki. He's a combat veteran and a small business owner who the tassel-loafer, country club Republicans are calling a communist. Check out his website kozyckiforcongress.com/index.html

Lately, I have been hearing that PhDs are not real doctors. It is infuriating to hear. But did you know- The word doctor comes from the Latin docere: “to teach.” A doctor was, quite literally, a teacher. Not a physician. Not a medical practitioner. A teacher. 🧪 valeman.medium.com/why-phd-has-...

valeman.medium.comWhy “PhD” Has Nothing to Do With Medicine: The Surprising Origins of the DoctorateWe tend to think of the title “Doctor” as something belonging to physicians, stethoscopes, and white coats. But long before modern medicine…

What a comically out of touch response. Maine, please vote this idiot out.

Susan Collins is showing just how out of touch she is. “I spent a whole year without health insurance…in ‘94” That was 3 decades ago, Susan, when insurance was $1500 annually… Thanks to Susan’s vote that helped pass Trump’s murderous budget bill, premiums are $1500 a month now for some folks.

Everyone calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump you need to listen to this; to impeach a president you need both chambers of Congress. You want Donald Trump impeached? Make sure you mark blue, liberal, Democrat on your ballot.🗳️🇺🇸

I’m loving the “well akshually he didn’t REALLY mean let Iran take out Los Angeles and San Diego” excuses today. Cool. Explain the assholes in the crowd who thought it was fucking hilarious. Deplorables wasn’t strong enough.

After ICE murdered Renee Nicole Good on a Minneapolis street, Karoline Leavitt called her a "deranged, lunatic woman" who committed "domestic terrorism." Good's last words to the ICE agent who killed her were: "I'm not mad at you." The NY Times didn't mention that in its story about Leavitt.

yahoo.comKaroline Leavitt Takes Shocking Swipe at ICE Shooting VictimMAGA motormouth Karoline Leavitt joined in the Trump administration’s cacophonous chorus of victim shaming during a Fox News appearance on Monday. The White House press secretary echoed the sentiments...

It tends to go unnoticed, particularly by sensationalist sports writers, but yesterday with Vanderbilt already down 24 points and less than a minute to go, Coach Kirby Smart had his quarterback take a knee around the Vanderbilt 10 yard line rather than run up the score with another easy touchdown.

The posts about the staffers who assured Eric Schmitt that Jack Smith was at a Hawks game are funny, but they clearly knew ahead of time the evidence was faulty. Why else did they try to get away with flashing the poster up there for 3 seconds then trying to hide it? Schmitt, now, he's a dumbass.

The House and Senate needs to submit STAND ALONE BILLS. None of this bullshit that sneaks in other bills that they KNOW would never pass if it was a STAND ALONE BILL.

Georgia's gas tax is 33 cents a gallon. The governor suspended it yesterday. The price of a gallon in my hometown is either unchanged or down maybe 5 cents. Tell me we aren't being gouged. It's past time for a windfall profits tax, and it probably should extend to dealers.

Republicans in Congress got hours of free airtime in front of the American people. They spent it stating false facts as true and calling Jack Smith a dirtbag and a villain. Here's all you need to know, under oath.

I just can't seem to let go of how utterly imbecilic Schmidt and his staff were in this incident.

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

Here's footage of Jack Smith at the Iowa vs. Maryland game on February 3rd, 2024 btw

I've got to say this: The price of gas is an atrocity, but I don't want to hear anyone bitching about it if they spend 20 minutes sitting in a parking place idling while dicking around with their phone. Restarting the car takes as much gas as 3 seconds of idling. It's stupid behavior.

During the 70's energy crisis, the government ran ads on how to waste less gas when driving. I don't think 1 out of 10 drivers today either remember or even know. Or maybe they wouldn't save gas even if they did.

Watching this clip just underlines the level of belligerent stupidity and lying practiced by all Republicans in Congress throughout the last 10 years. Not only wrong, but wrong in a particularly imbecilic way, and angry to have been shown to be an imbecile when confronted with truth.

A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. WATCH IN FULL, UNINTERRUPTED

Sen. Susan Collins helped steer millions in federal defense contracts to Navatek, whose CEO illegally funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign. The FBI sought to launch a probe and was eyeing Collins and other lawmakers. Then Trump gutted the unit in charge. THREAD 🧵

Given my suspicion that Trump voters don't ever really listen to the words he's actually saying, I think showing him yapping without sound may not really be much of a game changer. It does give the opportunity to observe his decaying posture, movements, and looks without distraction, though.

Found an old blast from my social media posting past: Pay teachers babysitting wages? I'd darn sure take that: $7/hour x 6 hours a day= $36 $36/day x 30 kids = $1260/day $1260 x 180 school days = $226,800/year And tell me where you'd find a babysitter for $7/hr. these days.

I recently discovered the fact that while each Senator from California represents approximately 20 million constituents (dividing the state population in half), both Wyoming Senators represent approximately 290,000. Every Electoral College vote in CA is 722000 voters. Wyoming: less than 200,000.

The musicians who dropped their spots on the Ed Sheeran tour had skin in the game: they gave up money, exposure, and potentially future work to show their principles. Contrast that with people who put all of the consequences on the rest of us when they decide not to vote based on "principle."

Right now seems to be peak Joro season in North Georgia. The webs are all over the outside of the house, but I'm letting them stay in hopes they'll kill more pests. I worry a bit about them crowding out the local species, but I've seen different species with adjacent webs, so hopefully not.
