🚨🚨🚨 PHP PATCHES JUST DROPPED 🚨🚨🚨 Go update right now!!! www.php.net/archive/2026...
Scalded my ankle at work, so I couldn't cycle home. @etainsurance.bsky.social arranged a taxi for me and my bicycle to get home. They called me en route to make sure that I'd been picked up, then called later to make sure that I was safely home. They came through for me, and not for the first time.

SPACE for Fenham and Arthur's Hill are running a Glow ride again this year. They'll be meeting up outside the Civic Centre (by the God of the Tyne) on Thursday 22nd October for a ride through the Toon. It's free and all are welcome- as long as you've got a bike. www.facebook.com/events/17453...

A) Yes you can. B) But anyway, nobody is saying that you have to. C) It is perfectly possible to own a car and also do most of your journeys NOT by car (and/or want to reduce how many journeys you drive). D) What do the many people who don't have a car do? So fed up with this ridiculous argument.
Shadow roads minister Greg Smith says: “You can't do the family shop or a family of five on the back of a bike.” This will be news to anyone with a cargo bike or a trailer.

I went to Geneva a few weeks ago and spoke on a panel about the nature of time for a Geneva Watch Days event. While I was there, on a lark, I entered a competition to most precisely calibrate a Swiss watch. And today I found out that I won! 😃 www.instagram.com/reel/Dd6hUTB...

Cyclists were the primary force behind organized political pressure for better, paved roads before the arrival of cars and drivers. Drivers now think they own the road and oppose safe infrastructure for all other road users. What if tanks started using roads and were crushing cars and people?

The companies responsible for the 17-tonne nurdle spill that is polluting England’s north east coast seem to have given up, as they stand insurer-funded clean-up teams down, leaving volunteers and council teams to keep going.
A new press release from the volunteer nurdle community on England’s north-east coast, a month after the plastic spill, as official, insurance-funded teams are being prematurely laid off while nurdles are now being found on North Yorkshire beaches. docs.google.com/document/u/0...

"A solar farm on a rewetted peatland is home to more types of bird than drained agricultural fields nearby, suggesting that land used for renewable energy can make money for landowners, lock away carbon and boost biodiversity at the same time."
