I think it’s more meaningful to say “yeah, this art meant a lot to me at one point, but now that I’m older and can see the harm supporting it, I’ve moved on” vs “I never REALLY liked this art.” It’s growth to realize that something that once resonated with you has no place any more.

A bit late to mention this but the best thing about artfight was how much easier it was to actually start an artwork when you already have the hardest part (conceptualizing, researching, and designing your characters) done for you and you get banger art ideas just by finding cool ass OCs
