Gardiner: Will this be staffed 24/7? Staff: Yes to meet hotel requirements. Gardiner: Available on site? Staff: Language in the zoning bylaw is left flexible so hotel operators can put forward different management programs. Attendant could be provided in many different ways.

Hammond: Concern is the scale. A good development can still be too large. Voting against 12 storeys does not mean I support 0 storeys. Would like to see the applicant come back with materially shorter building while preserving as much as possible what's good here. Voting to decline the application

Gardiner is now attempting to amend the bylaw language itself. Wait, she referenced the wrong document and is trying to amend the Committee of the Whole language in the report background. Alto: This has already been adopted by Council and now we're revisiting a previously approved recommendation.
