Congress passed a law forcing new sanctions and tariffs on Russia. Two days before it kicked in, Trump signed an order waiving it. Read that twice. Then ask who the law was for. Trump is a Russian asset.

They’re going to force the men to get gender-affirming care.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

The Pentagon released guidelines requiring male service members aged 30 and older to be tested for low testosterone. A new study estimates that about one-quarter of active-duty U.S. Army men may have levels below a commonly used cutoff for low testosterone. https://wapo.st/4sfO8vK

Chuck Schumer is absolutely not the person to lead the Dems in the Senate. Not only is he an abject coward, he's in corporate pockets, and he supports the genocide in Gaza. On November 3rd, when Dems take back the Senate, Schumer must be immediately replaced.

Truthout@truthout.org

Chuck Schumer — one of the most powerful Democrats in the country — has not issued statements to the press or through his social media channels about the administration’s attack on Ilhan Omar, which critics have described as a five alarm fire for the state of democracy in the U.S.

Look at the shabby state and increasingly authoritarian trajectory of the country and ask yourself if we can endure 2 more years of a lawless Trump administration wreaking havoc with no check from Congress, then vote accordingly. This is not the time for a protest vote or purity politics.

Miranda Devine of the NY Post (an Australian) always has my vote for Most Desperate Trump Water Carrier. "Flugate!" Meanwhile, Kean and McConnell absent for months, Trump's 2025 Labor Day disappearance (stroke likely), etc.

Hard to overstate how much Hegseth's execution stream mirrors the U.S. military's traditional description of ISIS propaganda: broadcast killings designed to send a message, strike fear and create a social media spectacle. Will almost certainly be repurposed by online terror cells

Many attacks on Mamdani since September have come from Israel. Influence operations also exploit fringe leftists to manufacture division and discredit movements. Sometimes your militantly anti-state, theory-quoting, revolution-preaching, purity-testing Marxist - Maoist comrade is the state itself.

Anonymous@youranoncentral.bsky.social

Mamdani didn’t turn out to be the radical Marxist revolutionary some built him up to be. That’s okay. Much to the disappointment of the far left and far right, he’s a city mayor fixing potholes, not the next leader of an intifada or the Sendero Luminoso.

Wall Street profits and bonuses are poised to hit a record high. CEO pay is up. Corporate profits are skyrocketing. U.S. billionaire wealth is up 30% in a year. Meanwhile, inflation eats up the paychecks of working people as the social safety net is cut out from underneath them. Trumponomics.

Do you know who are the most precise scholars on the distinctions between a genocide and war crimes. The prosecutors at the ICC. Their indictment charges Netanyahu, rightly, with war crimes up to and including crimes against humanity. So not apologists. You know what charge they did not level? Yup.

rickyalberto62.bsky.social@rickyalberto62.bsky.social

The majority of genocide scholars think it's genocide Why this and not other wars? Intent matters and (I admit) is debatable But the possibility of genocide should be entertained Solidarity to you against the pinheads and antisemites on this thread www.pbs.org/newshour/wor...

I for one think it’s bad that the president can just say crazy stuff all day every day and 99% of it doesn’t make the news because we’ve normalized having an insane president

There's a shit-ton of actual anti-Semitism in the world today, but Netanyahu's fraudulent misuse of the term devalues it dangerously. Hamas is anti-Semitic and murderous. Netanyahu is a cynical, murderous shitheel. Mamdani is an American politician with a perverse impulse to tell blunt truths.

NY Times Pitchbot@nytpitchbot.bsky.social

Whether it’s Benjamin Netanyahu empowering Hamas, presiding over a massive intelligence failure that let them kill 1,200 Israelis on October 7th, and then killing 74,000 Palestinians in response or Zohran Mamdani pointing out that he did this, both men have fueled their bitter feud.

Amid outcry, NY prosecutors have reopened the criminal investigation into the 7 Cornell gang rapists, a case that was covered up 2 years ago. These assholes would’ve been punished if they had written “free Palestine” instead of “free p*ssy.” Cornell leadership should be investigated too.
