An absolute legend and from all appearances, incredibly kind. I believe he'll go down as every bit the beloved figure as Mel Blanc. But he and us deserved SO many more years from him. Just indescribably sad.

Hello everyone, so good to see you! I'm a Graphic Designer and video producer. I'm mainly with GVG on YouTube, and do a lot of freelance work for streamers, content creators, developers and more. I'm also happy to take on commissions! For more info: evernight.carrd.co

Having games like Metroid Dread and Belmont's Curse makes me so, SO happy. I'm sure Ravenous will be another that matches what they achieve. Just pure joy playing them every time.

Early thoughts? It’s overwhelming at first and text is automatic while flying by way too fast most of the time (I have to actively tell myself not to push A), but it is charming as hell and already addictive

We’re halfway through the voting period! Remember to vote if you haven’t already because as 1990’s results showed, every vote matters!

it cannot actually be ignored or danced around that the closure of BioWare came so soon after the Saudi and Jared Kushner acquisition of EA. they absolutely did take the studio making EA’s broadly queerest games out back and shoot it old yeller style. do not let yourself or colleagues ignore that

The only major thing I think I need to mention is that Sonic released on both Genesis and Master System this year so make sure to note which version you vote for as those are two completely different soundtracks. If nothing's noted, I'll assume Genesis. Let's see how his initial outing does.

Believe it or not, my birthday sub-a-thon is still going. Granted my chances to return to it aren't that consistent but my chat has ensure that there's still 22 hours on this time. They REALLY like Trails in the Sky so come watch as I start Chapter 3! www.twitch.tv/bitnerdgames

I’ve finally reached Castlevania in Belmont’s Curse and this game truly loves the 3D entries. The callbacks are wonderful and Konami needs to get on that collection because I suspect new fans will be interested after this.

It has been fascinating to watch Konami’s slow redemption. From great compilations that are still happening on this day (please localize Goemon) to the rebuilding of Silent Hill and Castlevania to exciting original projects on the horizon. I’d love to see them be a true competitive force.

I am greatly enjoying Belmont's Curse so far. There's such a specific cadence to everything. A flow between the combat and platforming that isn't as smooth as Metroid Dread but is uniquely itself. It's difficult to fully describe but I love how this game is unafraid to do its own thing.

I have secured Castlevania. I haven't been able to play it. Too much else going on. But I at least have it. And tonight, I'll be streaming it. So 6 hours need to pass ASAP.

The 1989 Soundtrack discussion is coming later today but you should absolutely watch Daniel's review of Tales of Eternia Remastered before that! Do it!!

Daniel Alba@daniel.gvg.io

As is tradition, I’ve taken a look into and reviewed Tales of Eternia Remastered, the latest and most interesting title they’ve ported yet. Talking twice as long as I should for a review is another tradition, but it feels warranted for our first truly retro Tales game youtu.be/o7eCJZPZU7Q?...

I understand wanting to save listening to this it for the game, but hot damn. That is an all-time rendition of Bloody Tears. Maybe it’s my headspace right now but I did tear up listening to this. I just can’t wait to finally play a new Castlevania.

🩸THE TEARS ARE HERE. 🩸 You know that feeling when a game melody hits your ears and you instantly know it’s going to stay with you forever? That’s Bloody Tears. And soon you’ll hear it in the game. We wanted to go beyond a tribute and tell Rose’s story through these unforgettable notes.
