For the record, I did not, as a child, run screaming out of the living room every time the Pegasus came for me. Don’t trust my mom. I’m a big, strong boy and always have been.

Going to revival screenings of Tristar movies and screaming when the logo pegasus gets too close to the camera

Great taste, for free, piped into your home 24/7. Been my constant go-to since getting the beta. Thrilled to see it out in the world. There's nothing left quite like @aquariumdrunkard.com - support it when it does awesome things like this!

I would put more money on continuing to harvest infinite energy from the sun over assuming that forcing everyone to use The Machine The Lies To You is the steady basis of an entire economy

A fun question. In 5 years time, what looks better? The US’s enormous bet & capex on AI? Or China’s equally enormous bet and capex on renewables?

I feel Whitney K's music is on par with the best stuff going on right now, and their latest, "Bubble" is their best yet. Interviewed Konner about the band and his process for @aquariumdrunkard.com and really appreciate how he opened up about it.

Whitney K :: The Aquarium Drunkard Interview aquariumdrunkard.com/2025/09/12/w... ... sonically, 'Bubble' is their boldest and coherent to date, adventurous but unhurried, segueing smoothly between choogling acoustics and scalded electricity.

Anyway, if you're gonna write or opinion on Trump's comments about Roger Clemens, and you center it solely on the Hall of Fame and steroids, you are committing journalistic malpractice. If you need a refresher, start here. pitcherlist.com/bbwaa-is-era...

We are outraged and deeply distressed that armed federal agents came onto our campus—making arrests on the very ground where, in 1942, Japanese American families were forced to board buses bound for concentration camps. It was a deliberate act of provocation and intimidation.

There needs to be a congressional investigation into ICE and its practices. The agency needs to be completely dissolved and its agents and officers need to be prosecuted for any and all crimes committed.

What's so clear here -- and so terrifying -- is that these cops view themselves as Trump's goons and know that Trump will let them get away with anything. www.thehandbasket.co/p/federal-ag...

I used it as an opportunity to profess my love of Rod Stewart and to compare him and Joe Cocker. So get in before it's closed for good.

Clay Jackson's story is picking up momentum. Jackson is the Texas attorney who was visited by two law enforcement officers at his home after giving some legal advices to an undocumented family. He was fired from his job with FNF after talking to me about the incident. Here's Judd Legum:

Some EXCELLENT stickers on here, if I do say so myself

Everyone laughed when Tomas Estes first preached about tequila having terroir in the 70s, just as much as a French wine. Today, the premium "single estate" tequila this Whittier kid co-founded is one of the best-selling and smoothest in the world. lataco.com/ocho-tequila...

I had been doubtful that we were going to have a "this is the crisis moment" with Trump, as opposed to "everything about this is a destructive catastrophe." But the Abrego Garcia case is the crisis moment. 1/

Such a wild and circuitous way to discover that the guy I sometimes chat with because he has two standard poodles that enjoy "saying hi" to my standard poodle . . . is the bassist of Weezer.

If you think this can’t happen, remember that of the 125,000 Japanese Americans who were interned during WWII for years without charge or trial, two-thirds were U.S. citizens. Including me.

I filmed several of the @aquariumdrunkard.com sessions 2008-20011. I had two mini-DV cameras, no lighting, no second camera operator. The sessions were released audio-only. I recently found the Local Natives tapes. If anyone has the original audio, I'll fix the original post and add what I can!

I just realized that the speech bubbles on "Wowee Zowee" are inspired by Mike Heron's "Smiling Men With Bad Reputations," which predates Kanguru's "Guru Guru" by a year & looks similar Are there other examples of this style? - specifically, not just speech bubbles like on the Mother's "Freak Out"
