After much introspection and career counseling I am looking for a new job. I am looking for Forward Deployed Engineer/Deployment Specialist/Solutions Engineer roles I am great with people, understanding them, seeing opportunity for them and your product/platform.

Relational Sales is something I have heard. The hard part is I haven't done this work in a professional setting so it feels a bit like another career pivot. If you want someone who will take good care of your customers, make them feel like a badass, and who daydreams about helping people, DM me.

I have to imagine that (and I say this not in jest but as a realization) Standards folks right now with the cloudflare outage primarily due to mitigating vulnerability React Server Components is kind of a 🤷‍♂️ moment for standards teams/folks. Article - blog.cloudflare.com/5-december-2...

blog.cloudflare.comCloudflare outage on December 5, 2025Cloudflare experienced a significant traffic outage on December 5, 2025, starting approximately at 8:47 UTC. The incident lasted approximately 25 minutes before resolution. We are sorry for the impac...

I am so confused by what I am seeing/reading by many over on X. What have people actually seen within AI to think a "singularity" is being approached? What have people actually seen to make them think all that is in the future is humans fighting to survive against AI?

Watching someone try to get good at a skill to be mistaken as AI has me reflecting. If you are pursuing craft with tender love and care you DONT OWE ANYONE an explanation if they mistake it for AI

I know it can go both ways but if the individual is caught up trying to check if it is AI or not rather than understanding the quality of what is being delivered that should not be an additional burden on the creator to answer

A bit of a vulnerable post by me but we need your help to get us through what has been a more difficult period than 2020. It would be really appreciated if you could read and share in your networks too 💛 bell.bz/its-been-a-v...

bell.bzIt’s been a very hard year - Andy BellUnlike a lot of places in tech, my company, Set Studio/Piccalilli has no outside funding. Bootstrapped is what the LinkedIn people say, I think. It’s been a hard year this year. A very hard year...

It causes quite the irritation in my that “apart” and “a part” are separated by a space and have complete opposite meanings Also, if “a part” is brought together to “apart” wouldn’t “apart“ more intuitively be understood as joined? And the opposite for “apart” being split to “a part”. #mybrain

I guess today I’m thankful using these things are not a part of my normal vocabulary. One could say they are apart from my vocabulary. Part from me 🫠 Random musings when you have too much time

I’m sure this is a AI realization many others have had The greatest deception I feel I’m seeing is the promise of turning AI users into masters of many crafts @alexhillman.com’s “Tiny MBA” (which you should buy this for a gift this week) recommended Cal Newports “So Good They Can‘t Ignore You”

AI promises mastery. Its deeply deceptive because it does things which otherwise to you feel like magic IF you do not already have mastery over the subject So then we just chalk it up to AI can do it Im not arguing against using AI at all but as humans we have a deep need to master a skill

AI is a race to the bottom, in the way most ppl are using it. To get the most out of it I feel you do have to be really solid in your field. Sure things that are monotonous and should be automated should. But for craft? Just all my thoughts. Working through the book.

Growing more and more convinced by the day that there is an incredible amount of people making good money by lying to others about their “methods” and “scripts” and “playbooks” Give people a false promise they will pay you and then those same people are used as “evidence” that it works.

Three community ideas for bluesky people to help me process: A course creators community. Just somewhere to share ups downs, and whats working and not. Thinking developer specific A community to simply inspire and bring to light what’s possible with code. I get so bored with so much

Lastly a community to collaborate on effectively moving to web standards as an industry The narratives around leaving react, ”standards people” and so on are all done mostly it seems in poor faith, little hope, or lack of belief ”the other side will listen” Would love to see it reversed

My greatest hope for Christian authors and orgs that review books is that they would know the author is under no obligation to address the full extent of biblical doctrines when saying any one thing As a reader, my hope is to hear what is being said and not immediately say “but what about?!”

So many things I read, particularly from orgs that review books, are things like “I wish the author addressed ___.” Ok but let’s not take away from what is being said. Wishing for everything to be addressed is wishing for someone to say nothing at all

I feel bluesky may be the only place that has developers who care about this answer Are there any tools out there that radically simplify building PWA's? Wasn't sure if @bell.bz would know of some. I really don't want to go down the expo route and use react native for a mobile app, would love pwa

And not just the generic setup but more so wanting things to work offline as expected (which I realize varies widely depending on the app) The closes thing I think there is to this currently is how sveltekit handles pwa's with its compiler.

The introduction in “On Writing Well” is one of the most concise encapsulations of so many professions and societal trends. Make a medium easier, good gets better, bad gets worse.

Oh the internal agony of this cycle: think I must have a good idea to make money -> no one wants the idea -> think I need a better idea -> get fed up and just need to make money -> slightly begin the process -> start trying to find the best idea again -> realize no one wants it -> and on and on

I'm gonna build a sales safari chrome extension that is a browser MotivAider for myself Every few seconds, get a gentle visual/auditory nudge to remind myself "Hey, are you thinking about ideas or are you reading people's pain?" "Are you validating a perceived pain or real pain?"

Or maybe I could just be the physical one 🤦‍♂️ Holy smokes, who even am I? (physical product does exact thing I say make digital thing for....but its an idea!) 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Me to myself right now:

In today's world you don't drift into proven processes, you drift into slop. Cultivating and working the muscles to not drift off track is so, so hard.

I literally found myself today frustrated with a given scenario, and messaged a friend and said, give me a good idea I know better. But it is so so easy to think the right idea brings the desired outcomes.

So much of life is spent approaching it as "if I just had the right idea" only to then realize no one wants the idea but to then have a devil/angel bickering inside over "I just need to make money" to then be led back to "I need a good idea". Must....break....free...

I’ve tried ADHD meds before and it is now becoming a reality for me that they all have probably actually worked but because I forget to drink water and had unbearable headaches I thought they were ineffective 🤦‍♂️

Can we get people responding to bring awareness of work people are doing around cancer? Experimental places Tech advances Anything else like this 1) trying to find places for friends 2) just feels a big lack of awareness of what is being done around it (maybe just me)

Do you ever think about how far you would be along if you just follow directions and paths laid out for you by those who know what they are talking about? I do and it haunts me and we are past halloween

For any Yugioh fans Back in the day I had a game, I still do actually, called Dark Duel Stories. With technology where it is I would like to build a web based version of that game. There are so many things I like about it. I actually have a decent initial proof of concept. I need guidance with

Finding the card images. I don't want to scrape, ie steal them. I would like to somehow find them in the game card format to use but don't know if this is possible. Any Yugioh fan happen to know if this is possible?

The coffee paradox for aging adults As a 20 year old we crushed energy drinks, coffee, etc. People even tried filtering coffee with red bull. You could still be tired & in bed by 1030 As an aging adult with kids & sleep deprived, having coffee after 11 keeps me up til 3am 🤷‍♂️

What are the best writing tools that my friends who love to write have found? I find nothing satisfies and yet I don't know what I am looking for. Feels like it would have options for: - parallel documents - document storage and references - search - canvas for sketching / notes - timer for focus

Anyone with kids know how to tap into their intrinsic motivation at 330am so going back to sleep isn’t met with gnashing of teeth extrinsic motivation doesnt work

Reminds me of Kathy Sierras example of the dog outside of a cage being made to sit expending all its cognitive resources obviously kids are not dogs and a cage is obviously a no go also, if all you have to offer is “it’s just a hard season and I’ve been there” i will gladly take that!!
