Replying to @ericlipton.nytimes.com

Overall, we are seeing some very odd deal talks that are supposedly a part of ending the war in Ukraine. But in fact evidence shows these deals are structured (in the most recent case secretly until now) to financially benefit Russia or business partners of the Trump and Witkoff families.

Everyone keeps repeating Trump's claim that he didn't trade anyone for Stephen Hubbard, but on October 9 (the day he betrayed Ukraine) Trump chose not to extradite someone far more important: Mikhail Zvinchuk, who interferes in US and European democracy. emptywheel.net/2026/10/21/t...

In August, Trump announced the “BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY!” But is it? The text of the accord — which grants the U.S. sweeping access to Venezuela’s oil reserves — has been one of DC’s most sought-after secrets. ProPublica got to see a copy. 🧵

Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

the routine, pay for play pardons are all by themselves one of the worst corruption scandals in american history!

Don Moynihan@donmoyn.bsky.social

My brain cannot process this level of corruption. She was being paid $50 million to engineer a pardon from Trump *while working at the Justice Department* as a "Special Government Employee." And it worked. He got the pardon, and she got the money. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/20/u...

At 5 in the morning the president and his party are focused on the really important things for every day Americans: a luxury golf course

Trump: "The Department of Interior wants to take a terrible and very unsafe golf course, and make it into a great, safe, and prestigious golf course ... They do not need an approval. Work is scheduled to begin IMMEDIATELY!"

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Trump's suit appears to be part of Jos. A. Bank's Traveler line. The suit is listed as having been made abroad using a wool-polyester-spandex blend. The company describes it as having the "ultimate stretch" and was designed to minimize body odor.

The President of the United States, in front of a crowd of his supporters, during a televised rally, admits to a Quid Pro Quo pardon, which is a felony and impeachable offence. And absolutely nothing will happen, because his party, which controls congress, are fascist collaborators and sycophants.

propublica, continuing to post articles to which my reaction is: burn it all to the ground and salt the earth.

Hey, ProPublica reporter Jake Pearson here. I’m taking over the account to tell you about my new story. For months, I posed as a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company's "responsible gaming" safeguards. Spoiler alert: They made me a VIP — and I lost $10K. Here's how it all went down. 🧵

Just when I think I can’t hate OpenAI and Sam Altman any more, new details come out about how ChatGPT helped a shooter plan one of the worst mass shootings in Canadian history in Tumbler Ridge, BC. OpenAI made an explicit decision not to report the user to authorities.

There's plenty of corruption, crimes against humanity, and downright evil shit to focus on, but every so often it strikes me how thoroughly we USians have been exposed and disgraced on the world stage. A country who can elect such a man—twice!—is not a worthy country. We need radical reformation.

Why is Trump hellbent on erasing the legacies of JFK & Jackie? • Paved over her rose garden • Ripped out the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden too • Tore down the East Wing • Painted over her Air Force One design • And now has shuttered the Kennedy Center, the only DC memorial to the slain president

I guess we can add Trump managing to end the Kennedy Center to the rest of his legacy: - new wars, incompetently managed - destroyed USAID, killed hundreds of thousands - highest debt and deficits in US history - out of control costs and inflation

this fucking bitchass punkass motherfucker (and i don't mean Aaron)

and there it is -- Trump says that if the Supreme Court doesn't allow him to put his name on the Kennedy Center then it will close down for good
