holy smokes, conan strikes up a chat with a random lady on the subway and she immediately starts riffing on his level, no problem.

I'm tired to have to remember to disable a setting next stream, every week, when I already stream last minute after work. I really wish Twitch could stop turning everything on by default. (It's in "clip" settings apparently btw)

Twitch is renaming the Stories function to Recaps. Recaps will now be automatically generated using signals to find high-quality moments, as well as clips you or your editors make. You can remove Clips from Recaps. Recaps will autoplay in the mobile live feed.

So I just watched Kpop Demon Hunters with my partner the other night, and while I really did like the movie for the most part, there is one thing that REALLY bothers me about the final message. There was a message of learning to accept ones self, about forgiveness and redemption, but -

mistakes, and the false promises that Gwi-Ma feeds them saying he can free them from suffering. Sometimes, good people do bad things. To permanently condemn them is not a message of hope. Again, I really enjoyed this movie, and how they explored the concept that demons are not by default just -

evil beings, but beings who suffer. We even see a couple instances of demons, without the disguises, being awkward but non-threatening to the people around them. I just, really wish that they had committed to that idea in the end, instead of making demons one again the generic bad guy fodder...

And even when Rumi forsakes the original Honmoon because it's built on hateful discrimination, when Huntr/x create a 'new' Honmoon supposedly from a new level of understanding, NO demons make it through. They ALL get pushed back down, back to suffering the torment of Gwi-Ma (presuming he's not dead)

They were SO CLOSE to giving us a message of hope, but instead they went back to a completely closed off world with no hope for any demon-kind to be redeemed. I am in no way saying every demon is good. Just like humans, plenty are bad to their core. But many are acting from the shame of their past-

even though Jinu tells Rumi about the voices that haunt him via the demon lord Gwi-Ma, and even says those voices of pain and suffering are affecting ALL demons, there was no attempt to save other demons from Gwi-Ma other than Jinu. Like, when Rumi is rewriting the song, the lyrics are -

changed from those of blind hate, to trying to understand one another. There is such a strong message, that there can be hope for demons. This is seen several times when the Saja Boys return to the Demon World, where some of them look hopeful and happy that some of their own have done so well. -
