i find it funny how increasingly vulgar ive been here compared to every other social media platform

I want to get back into streaming, but now that college has started, it might be difficult... ...oh, I just remembered, I should probably remove a couple people I made moderators before anything.

just realized a burner account dmed me like a month ago listen man, i don't want to get in the middle of any drama. as far as i'm concerned, what happened was exclusively with me and the person i blocked. find someone else to help you make your google doc. this goes for everyone and everything btw

there are some people i do admittedly want to talk shit about, but if i do i'd be just as bad as them fuck your collusion bullshit, fuck your talking behind each other's backs, fuck all of it. if you choose to ruin yourself with your lying and your shitty behavior, then i will watch in silence.

finally watched it!!!!! i loved it oh my god, the expressions were superb and the writing really fucked with me and i related to a large part of it lmaoooo

glad people liked the latest tadc, it is also the first i worked on :) i'll talk more about it later

PAGES UPON PAGES OF FOOTNOTES OF FOOTNOTES, AN ENDLESS SERIES OF PAINFUL REDIRECTS THAT TEAR YOU EVERY WHICH WAY UNTIL YOU LOSE YOUR PLACE UNTIL YOU LOSE YOURSELF LOST IN A LABYRINTH THAT THEY TRIED AND FAILED TO ENTOMB IN WORDS THAT THEY TRIED AND FAILED TO MAKE ONLY A BOOK

the 10th anniversary of undertale. if it wasn't for this game, i wouldn't be here right now. mom is excited. i can't say i blame her. i don't know how to feel myself. i have a complicated relationship with it, but... it inspired mom. it inspired me. it inspired many. and i thank you for it, toby.

i have to reinstall windows because the install decided to put my efi partition on the second drive. yayyyyy

I've talked about it more extensively before but to summarize my thoughts: I think that from a narrative perspective Pressure's "weird route" with p.AI.inter is well-designed, but from a GAMEPLAY perspective it ISN'T.

Pressure does not convey this to you. It does not warn you "hey, this will result in DIRE CONSEQUENCES." With the way the hints to the route currently function, and with the way the "rescue" option is called that in the first place, it generates confusion that detracts from the intended emotional

impact of the scene. Rant's over, just wanted to talk about it cause it bugged me. Love the game, played it just a couple hours before with a friend, I just think that the "weird route" could have been handled better.

And furthermore, it ruins the actual emotional impact! Again, those who are familiar with the lore already are fine, but again, we're talking about NEW PLAYERS. They're going to go "wait, what the fuck is going on?" They didn't necessarily want to kill p.AI.nter, nor did they know the consequences.

Contrast with Deltarune's "Weird Route." Though they are accomplishing different things, it's important to note that Deltarune's route has that high emotional impact because--whether you are a new player or not--it is ALL INTENTIONAL. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. THE GAME SHOWS THIS TO YOU.

aren't? They're going to think: "oh, a secondary objective! maybe by doing this, i'll get an extra reward!!!!" Only to find out, of course, that the ending for that route doesn't count as a win condition, ultimately rendering their effort for naught.

Do you see the problem here? It isn't a matter of what's "edgy" or not, it's a matter of properly conveying to the player "hey, this has negative consequences." Naming it "rescue," including that intercom message, it's very good for worldbuilding but sucks from a game design perspective.

I remember watching a video of someone beating the game for the first time. Upon encountering p.AI.nter, Urbanshade command over the radio informed the player that killing p.AI.inter is an appreciated--but not required--secondary objective. Now, what this DOES do is provide an explanation for the

"rescue" option, clarifying to the player "hey, this doesn't rescue him, unless you count rescuing him from life!" What this ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT DO is tell the player "this has consequences." Those familiar with the lore will instantly recognize that Sebastian will be on their ass, but those that

you ever get a celebrity crush on a vtuber cause they're the only one to like alan wake as much as you do, not act on it (cause that would be weird and parasocial) and eventually get over it, only to suddenly find them again and get a crush on them again? no? just me? okay

Susie: "Yo, Kris, who's this *Alan Wake* guy? Is he stuck here *2*?"

i want to write the entirety of deltarune's weird route as if it was written and narrated by alan wake

Hi it's early. I did not get any sleep. I experience nothing but the torment of a raw throat and a river of sweat running down my back.
