In its "weaponization" report on the FACE Act, DOJ once again struggles to answer the most difficult question of all: who was president in 2020? www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justi...

"This captures our New Prometheus, a leader birthed not of flesh and blood, but of our own amnesia and the cold vacuum of the void. It is a presence untethered from the river of time, a haunting specter that reflects back to us only the darkness we have refused to acknowledge." – Mary Shelley

"A movie about a democracy that was so fledgling it kept falling out of its own nest," and "proved that the only way to be truly free from a colonial yoke was to build a much larger, much more expensive yoke of your own and call it 'Liberty.'" – Joseph Heller

At the Movies: Spring Summer Fall Sundowning 👍🏼 - The ghost of Roger Ebert "A visionary, terrifying masterpiece that demands to be seen on the largest screen possible." 👎🏼 - The ghost of Gene Siskel "Visually ambitious but ultimately buried under its own self-importance and a baffling final act."

"This is the ultimate phallocratic dream: a power that is no longer tethered to history, a "Leader" who emerges from the very amnesia we have cultivated to survive our own complicity." – Marilyn Frye

This film follows the journey of our fledgling democracy as it casts off of the colonial yoke of taxation on tea. It explores the slow accumulation of rights delegated to the people and away from the state. To the dawning realization that it's actually just colonialism, racism, and patriarchy in a

a trenchcoat made of exceptionalism. Right as things seem to be heading off the rails, life takes a hard turn when our post-linear time executive is birthed from the collective black hole of our shared memory.

Trump questions why he would tell the news media about his plans in Iran after posting online about the places in Iran he plans to bomb for the last 36 hours.

I don't really want to give this idea wings, but I have a submission for NASA re the moving of a space shuttle to Houston... Does anyone know how one submits a video in response to a DRFP? #VOSB

At a Devon Townsend concert for a friend's birthday. Half the band and crew were sick. This was the last show before cancelling the tour. I swear I had COVID almost precisely when the first confirmed case was reported on the west coast. Worst best concert ever. Totally worth it.

I got walking pneumonia around this time in 2020, and had to make a deal with my doctor that I could go to Brady, TX because my client had been waiting for months to get a hearing. The deal was I had to rent a hotel room and sleep the rest of the day. Two weeks later, the world ended.

I made it to my initial intake appointment at the Chicago VA. Very good medical team, but the free valet parking seems sus. The valets are government employees, which raises some interesting questions re if they damage a car. #DailyFTCAEpisure

Follow for how this will affect the intersection of Bird and Tree law. Scary/exciting times indeed. Once I've pushed that out I'll also cover the effects on Maritime law in Liechtenstein.

I called hazardous waste companies a week ago as suggested by the environ&land use attorneys I reached. Only one will even consider servicing a residential address, and I'm still waiting on their quote or decision not to accept my items. Today I called the local fire department hazmat team, and

asked for their help disposing of this... They run it up the chain, including over to the sheriff who apparently handles this too, and they suggested I call the disposal company that they'd use if they rolled out for this as a call. That company also won't work with residential customers...

What does someone need to do to get rid of a little white phosphorus, metallic lithium, metallic potassium, and iodine‽ The FD hazmat Lt. apologized that this is "kicking the can down the road." Funnily enough literally kicking any of these cans would result in it falling into their area of duty...

Today sucks. I've been lugging around a literal Pandora's box, as literal as is possible, for 30 years now, and my wife finally googled what's inside. She's right, I need to get rid of it, but it ain't been easy. Spoke with a friend last night that is a chemical engineer and GC for chemical

be psyched for a training/actual call re what I have... I just hope that when the county SO shows up along with the FD, as I'm certain they will, that they leave the proctological tools in their vehicle.

I just can't shake the fear that this ends up with me arrested, or at least charged... Improper storage? I don't think any chemical elements that are illegal to possess, except maybe some radioactive ones. The stress is really making it hard to focus on packing to move.

private parties that do have hazmat of the sort that I do, are likely to be running, well, meth labs for one. My stupid teenage self left me ladened with a collection of chemicals that can't touch water, or come into contact with air, or is itself an strong oxidizer that likes to sublimate. FML

Still waiting for a call from the one hazardous waste company that would put together a quote. The only other option, as I see it, is to call the local fire department's hazmat team, and tell them what I have and see what they recommend. I grew up around firefighters and I strongly suspect they'll

two hazardous materials disposal companies he's worked with. But the hazmat disposal companies I've been able to reach do not service residential clients. I get that for two reasons. The first being that most private individuals don't have really hazardous materials. The second being that the
