The thing that really makes me laugh is the fact that Valve is sitting on a warchest so vast, it could decide to subsidize the Steam Machine down to $200 *and still make money over its lifetime* while nuking this plan from orbit

Tomorrow I will pick myself back up and keep going, because I love this industry so much and I’m a stupid, stubborn idiot who refuses to give up on it 😂

However hard you think it might be to keep pushing and doing your best while the industry you love so intensely crumbles around you, it’s a trillion times harder. (And this isn’t just isolated to game dev)

I’m having so much fun playing Control Resonant, just a pure videogame-ass video game. Real good shit. A spiritual/adjacent successor to Control but something entirely different in some ways. And of course, the mountain of supplemental text, memos, and logs fill in the weird blanks beautifully

I pitched a Victorian Goth theme a while back and never imagined these in-game pieces could be so beautiful. Kiln is so worth your time, and if you haven’t tried it, I hope you consider doing so! Everyone who worked on this game poured their hearts into it!
