Commander Ascorbius

Going live.. erm... now 8pm :D Doing Star Citizen... No plan.. Stuff will happen.. Should be a laugh. Come join. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight we're going to be playing some Star Citizen. Talking about stuff, and I'll be showing a new tool I'm working on. All this and more at 20:00 twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight at the slightly later time of 8:30 we're going to continue our look at no man's sky, The cosmos 10 year anniversary expedition. We got to the end of phase 1 last weekend, let's see what the rest has in store for us. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Going live at 8pm with the new No Mans Sky expedition. Apparently it's a love letter to the game. So we're gonna check it out. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight at 8pm we're going live with some No Mans Sky, taking on the new 10 year aniversary expedition and another free update. Seriously Sean, you gotta take my money some time! twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight at 20:00 BST, we're back in Elite, checking out the Rhino after a great weekend at ECM, seeing lovely people I've not seen in ages. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Excited about our new game jam where you get to pick what games we jam? Don’t know what game to vote for? I’m going to be livestreaming with all the people pitching, giving them each FIVE MINUTES to explain themselves! Today at 2pm pacific time! That’s like right nowish! twitch.tv/doublefine

I just backed Amnesia Fortnight 2026, Indie Reboot on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/dou...

Well, last night's rescue of the falling Reclaimer did not go as planned. Instead of an industrial behemoth falling out of control towards a city planet, it erm... Got put into my hangar. But it was impossible to retrieve. I was able to sell the cargo, just not the 80scu of construction rubble.

Tonight at 8pm (in an hour) We're going to be trying to save a Reclaimer - Humungous salvage ship - from grashing into a planet. Will we succeed? Who knows. Will he have fun? Of course. Come and join twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Did you hear? We're bringing back AMNESIA FORTNIGHT! 🥳 It's a Kickstarter/game jam/documentary, and we need YOUR help choosing what games to prototype! Get notified when we launch on Aug 31:

Hey you lot, I'm going live at 20:30 tonight with some Star Citizen - I'm going to be scraping and nomming as many ships as I can. Don't park there, I'll nom it. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight in a few minutes at 20:00, We're going to try to save people in Star Citizen. Muppets to the rescue. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

I'm not gonna lie.. yesterday was an exercise in patience. We worked hard to set up a show for people.. but got hounded by constant server errors. In the end we switched region and had better luck. However I lost all my stuff purchased at Levski when the game crashed on the way home to Orison.

It's hot today, so perfect for letting off steam. Tonight at 8pm (in 10 mins) we're playing some Star Citizen, blowing stuff up with fighters - while having a chat about stuff. Come and join. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Last night we achieved something truly spectacular... Teamwork. Multicrew mining in a Mole in Star Citizen. Not only did we manage to not destroy our ship (mostly), but we also optimized the heads for bigger rocks. Felt like proper miners.

Running a little late, but in 10 mins at 20:30 we're doing some Mining in Star Citizen. Can we get the old rust bucket and get the gold out of them thar hills? twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight at 20:00 we're going to unlock hauling missions in Star Citizen. Can a lone muppet make his way in the black with nothing but a ship and a smile? Unlikely, but we'll try. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

At 8pm tonight (in about 50 mins) we'll be continuing our exploration of AI, what it's about, what the social impacts are and all that good stuff. Last week was a really good time, Bring questions, I'll try to answer or we'll find out together. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius (deliberate bad AI image)

I would like it if people watched Quantum though... Are there only 900 people who like Elite Dangerous animated story content?

I've had a response from the creator. It was an unintentional infraction, and while people in this community wouldn't have done that, there wasn't any malicious intent. They will update the description. It would have been nicer if this was done before, but we don't have a time machine.

It's been a weird day... full of emotions. I'll say I've reached out to the creator privately and kept it friendly, giving them the benefit of the doubt that this wasn't malicious. Hopefully this was an oversight which gets resolved. o7

If people want to use my videos for anything, they only need to ask. If it's not commercial, I only ask for a credit. If it is, gets more complicated as Frontier have a say. But don't just take my stuff without asking and say nothing. I don't do that, the community doesn't do that. Poor show!

My elite videos take many months of hard graft to get made. Those who support me (and who I am extremely grateful for) know this. My videos lately don't get hardly any views. Then some channel takes my footage and gets half a million views. Not just my stuff either. Lots of distant worlds footage.

I've just watched an Elite Dangerous documentary by a channel called Rispowne who's video has 424k views which contains footage from my video Quantum, which hasn't broken 1k. I am teetering on very sad and very angry. I was not asked and the footage was my own renders, not gameplay. 9 months work!

It's too hot for combat, too sweaty for operations.. so I'm gonna find some nice planet and chill in my Nomad. Relaxing Elite stream at 20:00 bst (20 mins) come join and hang out. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

I had a great stream tonight. We got through a lot on the subject of AI, there's still a lot to talk about, so we'll do the same next week. Thank you to everyone for coming, for your insights and for being excellent to each other.

in about 30 mins at 8pm Wednesday, I'm going to be doing my best impression of a GPU being asked to draw a realistic hand with the correct number of fingers, and melting into a pool of my own soup... while going live to chat about AI. Come join, bring questions, bring chill. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight I'm going to be doing a discussion stream where we talk about AI. How it affects us, how it impacts us, costs, morality and everything in between. I don't have all the answers so I thought it'll be nice to talk about it in a safe and calm place. Bring your questions. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

We're going to give some Operations a try at 20:00 BST (in about 30 mins) come and join the silliness twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

I watched Upgrade again last night. Great movie. In the age of AI, it hits harder.

Stream Time! It's Sunday, we didn't stream last weekend, so we've got some catching up to do. So we're taking a look at the new Star Citizen patch. Come and join in a couple of minutes at the slightly later time of 20:30 BST.. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight in a couple of minutes, we're going live with a little No Mans Sky for a change. We're a couple of updates out at the moment, but the new Swarm Expedition looks like it might be fun. 20:00 BST, come and join for some Sunday Silliness. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Has anyone seen Christopher Nolan and Harry Enfield in the same room together?

Science is fixed!

So here's a question. How many Elite Dangerous VR players are still playing? And what HMD are you using? Because, I'll be honest... I'm frikkin struggling. I used to play in VR exclusively, but I just tried to take my Caspian out of my fleet carrier and the whole thing locked up horribly. 0/10

Dear audience, it comes to my attention that I have neglected to inform you once again, that I have gone live. We're doing some Star citizen and looking at spaceships. Yours sincerely. Ascorbius twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius 20:00 BST (aka now)

It got so hot today that science itself broke. You've heard of breaking the laws of physics? This is worse.

Happy nature's blue screen day everyone.

In about 30 mins - at 20:30 BST, we'll be starting this years Operation Warbucks - Mostly Aimless Contribution. We'll be in LFT 926 and doing a bit of combat on foot, on spaceships, in the air, over a crater. Nothing bad could happen. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Tonight in about 5 minutes, we're multi-tasking. Playing some Star Citizen and nursing a hangover from last night's Bar Citizen event. I met some great people and had a really good time. Now I have to concentrate and find energy from somewhere. :) twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

So I went to bar citizen... Ended up in pop world.

Tonight in 10 mins at 20:00 BST - There's a new passenger ship, a station got toasty and needs rescuing. Let's see what this is all about. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Perhaps it's after all the concrete I put down in Satisfactory.. but apparently Trees hate me. Tonight 8pm twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Oh boy.... twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius tonight

Tonight at 20:00 bst, we're going to conclude our charity drive, raising money for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity by doing little tasks set by you. Challenge Scorbika. twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius

Thanks to your amazing and heartwarming generosity, we raised £710.09 last night for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. I can't thank you enough. ❤️💕

Going live with the Charity stream now. Come and join, should be a lot of fun delivering sofas :) twitch.tv/cmdrascorbius
