The left needs a candidate it can unite around in the 2028 primaries and AOC is the only real choice. Nobody else checks all of the boxes. Every other option is worse. If she doesn't run, it's a missed opportunity of historic proportions. www.hamiltonnolan.com/p/aoc-must-r...

the primary reason this is true is that the pundits are in a constant state of dunning-kruger, stockholm syndrome and narcissistic personality disorder. is it true that the median voter is a dunce? yes. Is it true that this distinguishes them from a person with an opinion column sinecure? no.
This goes to what I’d call the primary error that a lot of pundits make, which is ASSUMING THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE ELSE. Sure, it’s probably true in some respects - but attempts by pundits to put themselves in the heads of “normal” people almost always backfire.

when they said: "if mamdani wins, the GOP will make him the poster boy for the democrats & smear everyone as an extremist" they meant: "we are going to do that" when i saw the NYT labelling mamdani "a kingmaker" and calling winners "his picks" it was obvious they were messaging cucks like this guy
We are witnessing MAGA equivalent of destruction of Democratic Party through election of progressive Socialists. If you think this ends well for country, I believe you're sadly mistaken. Extremism on one side simply fuels opposite growth on other side. We need moderates.
