if yuri of absence is the lezphilosophie of emergent longing in the negative space of the world around two, then yuri of presence is something like the infinite world existing within the moment of two: wanting to touch each other so much and everywhere you basically melt into each other

Lately I think of myself as more of a writer than a visual artist. The times I draw are usually just to give form to the characters I've written - August and Maggie both emerged from writing. This is slightly due to my issues with my drawing hand, but moreso just because I... really love writing.

even Homunculus has always existed primarily as prose and also as a kind of "screenplay" I've never shared with anyone... and most of it I never even got around to drawing. There's a part of me that wants to finish the story in a form other than a webcomic. But that's.. a ways off, I think.

I have always caught glimpses of it in the way the evening sun glows on the grass between the shadows of trees in Cascadia. My heart stirs when i see it. I can briefly peer around the curtain of experiences into the world of the sublime. I will spend all my life trying to peer around that curtain.

Does anyone remember that wiki someone made to categorize those little plastic bag ties as if they were a branch of living creatures and it gave them like a taxonomy and everything? Did I hallucinate this?

Sometimes it's little amy that snaps big amy out of her depressive funk by reminding her of the joy of being alive and other times it's big amy picking little amy up off the floor and telling her not to cry bc big amy is a powerful witch who will get us through absolutely anything.

Nothing has made me confront the dark of my soul in recent years in quite the same way that losing my phone for a night did. Makes me want to rethink my relationship to technology again.
