This needs to be a pinned post here: Apologies if I unfollow you on Mastodon. Too many social media platforms with people posting the same thing to them all. This one's going to be my SFF one (until it crashes and burns as all capitalist-owned ones do and we'll all move to Mastodon)

Ok, that was the first time I’ve had con crud. Or its return from holiday equivalent- two days of a cold and feeling rough. Not nice, is it?

Woke up this morning and this beautiful trophy was in the house and it was not a dream. Utterly stunned, extraordinarily grateful, deliriously happy. Such a privilege to be part of this year's shortlist, huge thanks to the Clarke Award judges and congrats again to all the brilliant nominees 💫🤍🐺

I have come into possession of a 4-lb Beef Heart. For reasons you don't need to know, the whole thing needs to get eaten. Mostly by one person. Who has good recipes?

We’re all so enthusiastic about this. It’s the right place at the right time. The city has plenty history, as well as a culture of events that celebrates the past, present and the future. We’d love your support for our bid.

We’d love you to come to our convention and not worry about childcare. Letting us know in advance you *might* be coming helps us a lot with planning.

We’re also gauging interest in at-con childcare facilities - if this is something that you would find useful just fill in the google form here: forms.gle/RdcVfDfB7k3s... (3/4)

The trouble with quadrologies being the new trilogies, is that there’s an entire book in the middle where all that’s happening is a lot of pieces being shuffled about the board, that I’ve paid for and wasted time upon.

Hello hello, I'm not quite back on socials yet, but I'd be remiss not to mention the @barnesandnoble pre-order sale. Masquerade, the third book in the Micah Grey trilogy, is eligible, and I believe Emberclaw's paperback, the sequel to Dragonfall, also applies.

SHADOWPLAY, the sequel to the award-winning PANTOMIME, is out now. I had a friend go in and send me some nice things people are saying about it. The Micah Grey trilogy is a whimsical gaslamp queer fantasy with found family. Escape into the circus or step onto the magician's stage.🎪 🔮 🪄 🎩 ✨

Today is the UK launch of Pantomime (El’s Version), meaning the first book of the Micah Grey trilogy is now out on both sides of the pond. I’d been daydreaming for years of being to somehow resurrect this series that means so much to me. (Part 1)

The Sighthill Stone Circle in central Glasgow. First astronomically aligned megalithic monument to be built in Britain for thousands of years. From the right angle it can look very un-urban. #Glasgow #StoneCircle

Top entertainment from the 8yo this morning. He just told me this joke: Two wind turbines are standing in a field. One says to the other, “what’s your favourite type of music?” The other answered, “I’m a big heavy metal fan.”

See, here, when you reply to yourself, it takes over everyone’s feed. I just had eleven spaces in a row taken by a thread. Had they been individual posts, other posters would have got a look-in.

The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett: wow, he didn’t half telegraph that unmasking or the logic. Liked the characters, liked the world building but that plot was lit up in neon “look here!” signs. Average.
