Going to see Ken Russell's The Devils tonight. Wasn't as familiar with Ken Russell's name but looked through other films and realized my mother introduced him to me. Now confirming if she's seen The Devils.

My first BW staff badge, 2006. It was a huge privilege to be a small part of something that brought so many people together all around the world. The thriving relationships made through BioWare games are a comforting legacy today. Here’s to the good times. 🍻

I should write something about BioWare collecting some of my favorite pieces of things I wrote in the past soon. For now, here's an article I wrote for Kotaku about queerness and Mass Effect 3 back in the day: kotaku.com/with-the-gal...

kotaku.comWith the Galaxy in Flames, My Video Game Hero Finally Came out of the Closet - KotakuI got my idea to play the sci-fi epic Mass Effect 3 as a closeted male version of the lead character, Commander Shepard, before the game's creators said

Reaping: wonderful show. Sowing: straight people leaving a Bears game and wearing backpacks on a crowded ass train. πŸ™ƒ

I'm reading RA Salvatore's Drizzt books and on The Companions (everyone is reincarnated!) and have come across two passages that really seem to bring a no-homo, no-trans flavor in how these things are spelled out.

Thinking of writing a pitch and grabbing writing samples. Reading how I wrote in 2011 that conservatives restrict queer people under the guise of protecting children and calling it out for the lie it is. I see we've moved so far.

I started Fortune's Weave but as it isn't my main game I fully expect it will be the only Switch 2 game I play for a few months. Still working through Control Resonant (must be nearing the endish) and we have Castlevania soon. Thankfully Switch will travel well for holidays.

Managed to reach the final zone in Control Resonant. I like how different the zones are. I wish the first two had been less generic ass retail stores and weird parts of the map I had to memorize that I went around rather than through.

I still recall playing this series 4 times through in anticipation of the fifth game so I'd have my save imports for each character class ready. Shadows of Darkness is definitely still my favorite (I'm a goth, of course it was going to be).

It's the 100th episode of Quest Quest: The Adventure Game Podcast, and @bvigeant.bsky.social and I discuss Quest for Glory: Shadows of Darkness! Vampires, a mad scientist, Lovecraftian horrors, townspeople doing bad Jack Nicholson impressions β€” this one has it all! Listen: zencastr.com/Quest-Quest

Greg was the first DJ I connected to here in Chicago and helped make Berlin a special place for me when I first arrived in Chicago. Repeating the call to donate if you can and to share.

Just packed up the last of my electronics to go back to ol' place of employment and closing out my first week of my new job tomorrow. It still doesn't quite feel real, but this was also the first job I had for over a decade.

My parents were busy with my brother being born so I somehow watched A Nightmare on Elm Street at the ripe age of 4. No permanent scars, though I can't imagine having a newborn and a 4 year old with nightmares is a fun experience.

Hi, I'm looking to speak to people who have left games journalism in the last few years and have gone onto do something else. DMs are open, or luke@aftermath.site, thanks!

I do wear my glasses more often these days, though due to the need for sunglasses often skip it when heading outside. Should figure out either transition lenses or an obnoxiously wide-brimmed hat.

Also, glad I found a glasses frame I like and that works for my face shape. That it resembles photos I've seen of a great-grandfather I've never met... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

i am going to regret what this is going to do to my inbox but it's The Busy Time so: if you're a freelancer that covers games and don't ALREADY hear from GR+ editors on the regular, hit me up: rollin dot bishop at futurenet dot com

Just finished last night. Did a spit-take when I saw this from Sabretooth. Has both actual queerness and the stuff on which slash (how appropriate) is built on.

it's ME writing about WOLVERINE!!!!! for @mothership.blog which you should already be subscribed to anyway, but if you're not yet, this is a good time to join us. this game is so fucking strange and i am obsessed with it even though it's not fun to play. allow me to explain why............

Lovely that the years-long studio buying spree resulted in nearly every studio Xbox bought closing or rolling into another. Just decimating years of history and work in one go.

Xbox is laying off 268 people today across Halo Studios, first-party, and management and Ninja Theory is entering consultation as the division's big "reset" continues. https://kotaku.com/xbox-reset-268-laid-off-ninja-theory-halo-activision-2000736434
