I try not to overdo this bit but ... my man is begging for it. Let's go.

Patty Murray will be 78 at the beginning of her next term if she chooses to run again and wins. This means she would be 84 at the end of her term. Patty Murray should retire and let a younger politician take her seat.

Happy Yankee Elimination Day to those who celebrate!

28 Sept 2025

I missed Astros elimination day yesterday, but will happily celebrate a day late, as long as it’s before the end of the regular season, all the sweeter!

I'm a bit late, but Happy Yankee Elimination Day to all who celebrate!

Google photos does some super evil stuff if I were an attorney or the FTC I’d be all over them for dark pattern crap

Now of course after you do this and purge the trash Google doesn’t immediately recognize that you have in fact freed up that storage and keeps trying to upsell you more storage

Oh yeah AND with access to iCloud photos taken away from it, the Google Photos app on iOS basically goes into "I'm broken without access to your iPhone photos," which is the thing started this whole problem to begin with.

But, because Google Photos has linked itself to your iCloud Photos, if you delete the photos from the backup that Google decided it should make for you, the photos will be deleted from your iCloud Photos across all your Apple devices (they tell you this)

So you have to be a savvy iPhone user and go to you iPhone settings, take away the Google Photos app access to your iCloud Photos. Then you can go into Google Photos via your computer browser and delete the photos that Google “helpfully” decided to backup.

Now your gmail account stops working.

But wait, there is a helpful prompt at the top of Gmail for you to buy more storage, or to clean up your storage. If you go to clean up your storage, you see that all these photos are the problem. Simple fix.

The Google Photos app asks for permission to your iCloud Photos so that it can add photos, however it also starts uploading all of your iCloud Photos to Google photos.
