Cutting #ci complexity is harder than people realize. #dagger way is a path. And can work. Yet, I now think #nix for the ci process does better. With caching, years of tooling, and testing coverage. π It falls to how you run on builders. Always.

WIP, still figuring out what this thing is.

This is crazy cool. I didn't even know of #PEP723. π I only knew of #elixirlang and #Deno doing this script run with tooling automation. Very nice to see on #python as well. Automatic package fetch with LSP handling. You can just do the thing. π
It's still hitting me that #deno runtime is no more. π« I was so frustrated with #nodejs. I refused to use after deno came into the picture. π One of my favorite abilities was making tiny cli/scripts tools with it. Sure I can write in #golang or the many others, but deno was nice quick way. π
#duckdb 2.0 is out. Now it's the real time go and use quack. π Excellent work as always.
It's almost like the new renderer #pele, for #mermaid, came just in time. #D2lang is brilliant... but also fighting a blood red market. π’ My frustration with mermaid aren't away. Yet nowhaving svg focused with CSS theming is really really nice. π

Honestly, I'm more surprised the #rustlang #typescript version didn't happen sooner. π We already had #Deno and #bun in rust. I wonder in long term how the official #golang version plays out with this one.
Very nice to see a dedicated library for #passkey in #elixirlang. Don't want to use ash framework or build authn for the 45th time? Or deal with passwords. This is for you. π
Oh snap! This is like #d2lang live rendering #svg, but for #mermaid! π€― I... may have to use this now π Excellent and I mean EXCELLENT work by #obsidian folks!
#GnomeOS stabilizing! Very cool. They are trying immutable using almost entirely #systemd. π It's pretty darn close to systemd os. And with it, some cutting edge design. Like the #zswap modeling. Or sysext and confext usage for changes. π
#elixirlang #ash temporal is spectacular. Basically, once you make time an input, you can capture state output of that time. Think deterministic simulation testing, but with mutable determinism. π€£ Ash now does this, with two lines you put. π€― Oh and using temporal of #postgres. π
This is pretty exciting. Seeing #myna, dictating natively in #Ubuntu. Already been using #whisper for this type. Very interested how does #canonical integrate it. π
#sqlite latest 3.54 comes with some planner optimization. Enough that we get roughly 5% improvement across the board. π€― May not sound like a lot, but this is the thing that makes a world of difference when running thousands of db instances all over the place. π
Building telemetry is immensely useful. It tells you what is wasted effort and how. Getting this in #nix effectively closes a very large gap. You don't have to guess what is taking long. Now you know why nix is downloading the whole internet. π€£
Wild. #duckdb gets an "agent mode" that effectively prints all output in #markdown. π Crazy how dominate markdown has become that to agents.
It all makes sense now. π #celld build was proof #Deno can run as a #cloudflare thing.
Oh no... Filtering in #fastmail is like catnip for me. This group thing... I am going to make doom from inbox filters. π€£
Program exit codes not the same as program status. They only help for tools that actually exit. But nothing on status. Is guess work after that. π This new #osc7501 for programs is kind of brilliance. Covers that status piece. π
Ok. I like #passkey like a lot. But you do still need a way without. And while I actually like magic links. It don't mean users do too. π So this #EVP thing looks promising. A way for recovery using fancier magic links essentially. π
Very nice. #Gleamlang now uses #Erlang abstract forms instead of Erlang transpiled. What this means, better debugging and build times! Gleam was already fast, but it's even faster now! π Debugging is real mindful improvement. None of that line 213 on a 15 line file. π
So #kagi browser #Orion will be open sourced. But not developed anymore by Kagi. And only for #Linux and windows. #Apple still need to pay for the browser. This is a first. π Likely open sourced version is to become something else.
Well then. #supabase is the only target now for databases now. At least for me. π #turso now part of supabase. So #postgres and #sqlite handled.
And there goes #AWS, replacing most cloud jobs in aws. π There's still immense amount of complexity in such a provider, but it's pretty clear ai agents are going to make that much harder for newcomers. π« Either that, or you start at senior level right from start.
It took #duckdb plugins to make me realize the power of #jev. π€£ excellent overview on what you can do. Now scanning through a bunch of random local data to see of other quick analytical wins like this. π
I thought I knew what it meant to use #jujutsu. Being a #mercurial veteran with evolve semantics engrained. I was wrong! This mega merge thing is incredible. π€― I'm going to need to try this. π isaaccorbrey.com/notes/jujuts...
I see a world where you use #systemd report for all your services. No scraper in sight on the node. π Since #netdata fall, I been looking for such a tool. This is fully native now. Only need some #htmx web interface and we out to the races. π
#Secretspec now has a #JSONRPC #IPC. I think this is where the tool is going to unlock so much. Being able to get secrets across the system using secretspec can let integration on the runtime. Like service accounts authorization without the vendor requirement. π«
I'm back at again. Trying to do another deployment orchestration system without kubernetes. π
Woah. A fork of #helix called #mitos by one of the contributors of the text editor! The premise is to continue work while having a different plugin system instead of the making #scheme one. Going to have to keep an eye on this. π
I've noticed, working with #agents, the ergonomics of programming languages matter. Along the speed of feedback on code written. If you can make those small and fast enough, agents work immensely well. I think that's where languages are going. π Small and type safe. π
Interesting path on build system in #amutable, with #tine. ANY amount of time in this space, you will build the same thing. π I been doing this, but using #nix, a sprinkle of #sysext, #confext, #btrfs, and some custom tools. Oh and #ubuntu #autoinstall cause why not. π
Verifiable proof correctness is key. But try doing it on practically anything. Especially in security. π« #leanlang seems quite interesting. Without having to have a mathematics PhD π
Been using #gnome with #mosaicWM along with everything else under the sun. But like... once you get used to minimize style, it's REALLY missed. π Give it a try. You'll be impressed. π github.com/CleoMenezesJ...
I'm digging into the #ubuntu #autoinstall. The goal: see how far I can go with the machine setup I want as base for all things. And... It looks like, with a little #Deno, I'm making a frankenstein. π€£ canonical-subiquity.readthedocs-hosted.com/en/latest/in...
Looks like #miraclewm is getting more interesting by each release. #Wasm for plugins already had me intrigued. The #IPC option for keybinds is pretty sweet. But the ability to now have plugins take advantage... π I'm going to break my machine aren't I. π€£
The new #gnome is out. And they have launch video to go over it! π
So cool. #Moria on the pebble watch. And there goes the battery life of the watch. π
I absolutely love #erlang's documentation is now on #exdoc. Since the update, I been reading a lot more from the official docs. WAY more than I used to. π www.erlang.org/doc/system/r...
Woah, so #Deno made a new runtime called #celld. Basically #cloudflare worker durable objects ecosystem, but fully self hosted. π Durable objects is basically a love letter to the #BEAM. π I'm going to have to play with this.
It never even occurred to me there was no option, on #gnome, to select your default #terminal. Every install I do, I immediately make my own hotkey for spawning my preferred terminal. Never looking up default. π But... That's cause optional default! π€―
Very cool. #knap, A new tool for converting #json or #csv, with a template, to #markdown. The cool part of this is the templating part. You can with filters, get some pretty good outputs. Sure. you can go full meta and use #duckdb for this too. π But it's nice to have options. π
#openSUSE new #osdiff tool is pretty neat. Yes, there's tools like repology that gives you everything under the sun. But sometimes, you want to know of the distro you working through. π
Another brilliant library by @hongminhee@hollo.social This time for email. Called #upyo. Very impressive. For me, the support for #JMAP already sold me. But the ability to have magic link mapping with transport... Fully testable!? π
Gesture motions on a desktop are such a killer feature. #cosmic and #gnome have them. And it now seems #niri may too. π
