They/He/She(?) Democratic Confederalism, not Democratic Centralism. Revolution or Extinction. Those are our options. I do some journalism. https://simmeringfrogs.noblogs.org/ #ACAB #Winnipeg #Treaty1

Time for the 2026 Predictions. Tried to take it a bit more seriously this time. 2026 will be much crazier than even 2025. I’m looking at Merc dominance in F1, Carney growing his Liberal government into a majority, Trump dying, and lots of geopolitical chaos. Added some personal goals too 😊

Dude. If you haven’t seen what happened in Serbias elections, it’s maybe one of the biggest democratic victories of recent memory. The horizontal student movement and their allies defeated the Putin-aligned far-right Vučić whom had been in power, for ~14 years нови почетак, светлија будућност!

Regardless of who you are supporting in the 2026 Winnipeg Mayoral election. We should all be able to agree that the CBC only allowing the incumbent to share the stage with two of the worst people in the entire province is an implicit bias towards the incumbent There’s 12 candidates. Let them speak

Victim blaming ass cops. You can bet that if one of theirs got hit while on duty it would be a big deal. But drivers in this province can mow down elderly people and get off with a point on their licence.

Canada is spiraling into “one party state” territory. We’ve been a federally effective duopoly for some time, now the 2 parties are consolidating behind Carney & the LPC. The “investment” drive combined with deregulation & the stripping of labour rights w/the state promotion of AI is a v. bad sign

Canadians are falling into the trap of “at least it’s better than the US/Trump” line while completely co-signing, whether they’re aware of it or not, the same exact types of policies and procedures that maga and the Epstein class in America are drooling over. Wake the fuck up.

Diesel was $2.35 a litre And regular was 1.79 today. Fairly certain we’re gunna see $3.00 L unleaded by the end of the year in Winnipeg. If Diesel is doesn’t hit $5 I’d be shocked. I don’t know what the govt solution is. Things are gunna get worse very quickly. Cost of transport is way up.

I think this is because, for Marx, centralization was really about mass cooperation, in contrast to disconnected "isolated" producers. For Kropotkin, centralization is specialization, and we decentralize as more people can do more things instead of relying on one central monopoly.

Just wanna say, i called this out and provided the expropriation solution in 2023 when I ran against current Labour Minister Marcelino. They then snuck in an essential services cutout, resigned the contract with Dynacare, forced the workers back to work at behest of the American oligarch owners.

Then expropriate it. The NDP can do that. Wab has a majority government. The law already exists, and a private monopoly controlling important essential healthcare services and locations very clearly fall under the breadth and intent of the law. But they don’t want to. Because they serve capital.

www.cbc.ca/news/canada/... Absolutely disgusting betrayal by the MLB and by extension, the NDP government. If they’re essential workers. Then they shouldn’t be privatized. Period. They should have the pay and protections, and benefits, that come with most government jobs.

cbc.caManitoba Labour Board orders striking Dynacare lab employees back to work | CBC NewsHundreds of Dynacare workers are being ordered back to work by the Manitoba Labour Board, their union says.

It’s simply a way for the province to save money, send the profits to an American company, and then force Manitoban workers back to work, at behest of the American Capitalists. This, alongside the MJA debacle should make it very clear that the Manitoba NDP serve Capital. Not labour.

Not unless you have enough money or power to have them stationed directly in your place of business at a cost of almost $200/hr. Whereas a security guard is just as effective in LP statistics as actual police, cost around $20-25/hr. It’s clear who these fucks work for.

Spoiler. It’s not you. They can’t even protect you from violence or crime. They only sometimes show up afterwards to pretend to give a shit. #FuckThePolice #LegalizedGang #1312

This fuckass publication running this shit directed at workers rather than the food monopolies that run this country tells you all you need to know about NP. It’s the most “Tory” coded shit I’ve seen in a long time. Even the commenters are like nah dog this ain’t it. #FreeJins

We have had so many wake up calls to climate change. Do we have to wait for them to get worse and worse before we get some global action? More than 220,000 flee as wildfires "beyond the capacity" of firefighters continue in France and Spain www.lbc.co.uk/article/220-...

lbc.co.ukMore than 220,000 flee as wildfires "beyond the capacity" of firefighters continue in France and Spain | LBCA wildfire burning near Madrid has reached its “peak” and is now "beyond" firefighters’ ability to extinguish, officials have warned.

Canadian protectionism will not defend us from American aggression. Carney’s concessions will not satiate imperialist hunger. It’s never worked, and it won’t work this time. Time for Canadians to wake up and smell the fascism. The old order is dead, and hanging on to the past is suicidal.

As folks across Canada witness the highly disturbing images of wildfires in Northwestern Ontario, I echo the words of consolation offered by First Nations Chiefs to the Nations and communities impacted, along with their calls for urgent government action... (🧵1/3)

Capitalists and the system itself will get more irrational and more “evil” as the climate crisis spirals out of control and we all start to ask serious questions. Petrocapitalism either dies or we all do.

Ban lethal drivers for life. You kill a pedestrian or cyclist, or motorcyclist while driving or operating a “motor vehicle” you permanently lose your license with no opportunity to appeal for 10 years. There should also be a federal/provincial list that insurance autodenies.

A Winnipeg man who served time for drunkenly slamming a minivan into an off-duty police officer riding a motorcycle in 2023 is accused of getting behind the wheel, despite court orders.

Genuine question What should I do with kitty when it’s too hot to be inside? Like, we’ll go to the park. But it’s supposed to be 36. I know some cats are okay with heat but just wanna ask anyone more experienced for any advice for caring for cats when it gets real hot.

There’s literally no housing available under $1,000 in the “cheapest” areas of the city. The place I was renting 3 years ago for $724 is now showing up at $1175. A single person making $18.50/hr, working full time, would have to spend more than 55% of their net income just on rent.

The recent sweeping up of the streets in Winnipeg resulted in no change in public safety despite being extremely costly. These police sweeps have targeted areas where people receive medical and mental health care, pushing people away from vital services. (1/3)
