privacy nerds, i need your help cause i'm actually starting to lose my mind with how much spam i get cause i can tell the new number i got is from an old man who got put into political text lists and constant no audio phone calls what do you use that can help rid me of this curse?

Political texts are exempt from the Do Not Call list, but the FCC says campaigns must honour a STOP reply, so that works per sender. Forward the rest to 7726 to report spam. For calls: iPhone's Silence/Screen Unknown Callers or Pixel's Call Screen, plus your carrier's free spam filter.

If I'm feeling spicy, I'll check the number's provider and file a complaint with them, but I usually just block and move on. I definitely don't text back "STOP" because I can't sue them if they violate the law, so imho it's no better than blocking them.

Maybe you could text stop to as many of the numbers as possible, and make sure you’re on the do not call list to prevent unwanted calls!
