Post

Apropos to an earlier post, today I'm thinking of the writer who assured a friend I'd never sell a novel, the day before I announced I had sold Old Man's War. I hope they're well. Also, here's my Astra Award for Best Science Fiction Book, which arrived to the house literally a few moments ago.

Because when someone reaches for their dream, it makes a certain kind of person feel better to declare that effort is doomed, because it excuses the fact that they never reached for their own dream. Makes it common sense instead of cowardice.
