The new filing by the 3 media orgs re continued violation of J. Kelly's order: note this could result in Judge Kelly finding CIVIL contempt, which should not be subject to a Trump pardon, and its sole purpose is to coerce compliance with the ct order and can include daily mounting fines and jail.

Judge Kelly basically says the government’s invocation of “national security” as a reason to ban the media is BS and not the true reason for the Trump media ban. Nor is national security furthered by the ban. Immediate reinstatement ordered.

I'd love to see Trump's fat fucking ass thrown in jail for contempt. Although, I'm quite certain none of that will come to pass.

Of course it won't happen. Trump will do whatever he wants, whenever he wants until the number of people who are saying "but the courts" dwindle to such an insignificant number that the group with clubs, knives, guns, and torches, say "we've had enough of this motherfucker" and stop him.

“Could” - But it wont. We’ve seen the trump regime defy the court multiple times (Epstein Files, planes taking off…) but it never results in contempt. And why was this decision based on the 5th Amendment instead of the 1st? Is the judge leaving a door open for trump to do more?

Can anyone explain why some judges, notably Trump judges, seem apologetic when they rule against him & as this judge did, offer ideas to DOJ of how they might better defend their cause in future challenges-In this case, to create guidelines for what WH considers "acceptable" behavior? Seriously?

It will never happen. You should know what an absolute joke the U.S. legal system has become. tRump IS ABOVE THE LAW, and these judges are cowards.

Even if the Judge ordered fines and jail for contempt, the Executive Branch would have to enforce it which will not happen. This is why the US Marshal Service should be under the Judicial Branch instead of the Executive Branch. The Judicial Branch has no enforcement mechanism over the Exec. Branch.

Yes, and the injunction operates directly upon “all persons” acting in concert with Trump and the other defendants, so anyone complicit today in the act of denying access — including the security thugs at the gates with knowledge of the order — are subject to contempt.

"Any crime where only a fine is an option, is just a crime for the poor." - Hopefully not too mangled quote 🍊💩's legal team has deep pockets supporting them. I suggest a holding cell in the local D.C. Jail (escorted there by city cops), and not a federal lockup, would produce results more quickly.
