The FCC is reviewing proposals that could transform the night sky. Start-up Reflect Orbital plans to use mirrored satellites to illuminate Earth at night, while SpaceX aims to launch a million satellites as orbiting data centers.

washingtonpost.comColumn | We’re about to turn night into day. Is that a good idea?Proposals before the FCC involve mirrors that could bathe entire cities in sunlight and, from SpaceX, a million satellites to serve as data centers.

Who approved THAT gov contract? How much does it cost tax payers to buy & launch a MILLION satellites into orbit? SO MUCH FOR MUSK/DOGE/TRUMP BEING AT ALL CONCERNED WITH FRAUD & WASTE. CANCEL FOOD TO STARVING CHILDREN BUT PAY musk FOR A MILLION SATELLITES?🛰️...🛰️...🛰️🌙

I read there is so much "space trash" being created by Musk's satellites, which eventually falls from space, that by 2035 it will not be safe to fly on commercial airplanes. Is that true? It's all, according to Musk, supposed to burn up on reentry. "What goes up must come down"...🛰️

It will significantly interfere with the lifecycle of insects at birds and other animals in addition to humans. It will interfere with a lifecycle of trees and plants. It will cause many species to go extinct.

Sooo, how long until the orbital pollution means taxpayers have to pay to clean up after the billionaires again? Just ask Texas about abandoned oil wells.

Yes!!! Accelerate the complete destruction of the habitable environment and let’s get it over with! The sooner we kill ourselves, the sooner the planet can begin the healing process without us.

And keep on fucking off until you can’t fuck off anymore. We don’t need to light up the night sky. Hell there is too much light pollution already. I cannot comprehend the profit motive on lighting the planet 24x7.
