I know this is odd but I actually really like how german sounds. There’s just sort of a pleasing rhythm to it as a language. The grammar is pretty interesting and unique. I also do think that compound words as a feature of the language is cool and useful even though it can be unwieldy.

German hip hop is surprisingly good, I think because of all those hard consonants.

Yeah honestly that makes perfect sense. To me, the consonants sound like drums and the digraphs (think “sh” or “ch”) sound like cymbals or hats, and if there a more of them than in English it starts to have a rhythm like a syncopated drum set in the flow of a conversation or speech.
