Stupid goo goo nonsense. The only way to get fair districting is to pinch republicans in the mouth enough until they agree to fairness. Doing this with Callais days away from ripping up the VRA is so stupid I don’t know where to begin.

no actually, “we gerrymander as revenge for their gerrymander” is the bad stuff. if you can’t win with a level playing field, tilting the field is not a long- or even medium-term solution (and nationalizing state politics is also bad)

This is the definition of a luxury opinion, your life is comfortable enough that the outcome of any particular election isn’t really going to make or break your livelihood. The rest of us down here with the regular people have to live with the consequences of elections. Winning is not optional.

And no, maybe you are just as vulnerable as me or anyone else, but you’ve adopted the belief system of comfortable rich people. If you’re not actually one of them, that’s sadder, because you consistently advocate against your own interests for the aesthetic appearance.

you are making so much stuff up right now. if you don’t believe in electoral politics, fine, but if you do—and you have the ability to remember further back than the last election, and/or envision an election after the next one—you are just so wildly off base here
